brock9911 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 its been a while since i wrote on this thing. mainly because i never got any responses and pretty much said f*ck this site. but im in a bad mood and needed to vent regardless if anyone says sh*t. well i was at a block party last night and lucky me, my ex's father shows up to have a drink with me and my buddies. my friend has known him for many years so there still cool, and i dont have a problem with him, but the little reminders still doesnt help at all. of coarse he was asking questions and seeing how i was doing. im the closest thing to a son he ever had and i was in his life for 8 years, so im sure it wasnt easy for him either. than about an hour later my ex's sister shows up to see me and have a drink. more reminders of a life im trying to forget, but it just wont happen. once again, shes like a little sister and im like a big brother to her, but thats done with, im not that person to them anymore, so id like nothing more than to forget that. and to make matters worse, today would have been our 8 year anniversary, so needless to say, my mind is elsewhere. ugh, its been almost 4 months, when do you stop dwelling on the past

wow123 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Sorry to hear that man. Something similar happened to me a few weeks ago and it was a huge setback. Everyone is different but I know I usually don't get over an ex until I meet someone whom I think may be the right girl for me. When that happens memories of the ex begin to fade. Feel better.
Author brock9911 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 i saw her at a party about a month into the breakup. i also found out she was with someone during that month so when i saw her it turned into a fight. but since than iv gotten text messages and phone calls, but i ignore her. and as for the whole getting over her, i was with her for 8 years, and when we met i was 17, so i never truly had a serious relationship b4 her, so its still a new experience to me.
