Island Girl Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I'm researching riyte dis second. its not gunna b easy at all. ugh my god... But there has to be a way -- easy or not - it can get fixed. I am glad you are diving right in. That problem needs to be solved pronto.
Author joncolon4 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 ugh man...i cnt do much without consulting a lawyer first. do lawyers charge $$$ for just an appointment? they do huh
Bejita463 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 im alot more mature than people think. not to b ignorant at all. You know who else I've heard say this? Nearly every other 15 year old I've ever spoken with. Including myself when I was 15. They were wrong. I was wrong. Guess who else is wrong. Neither one of you are even old enough to really know who you'll even be as adults yet. Marriage is about the worst idea you could possibly have right now. Right up there with seeing what sex without a condom feels like.
borbiusle Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 You could join the military when you're old enough and then have her file for Lawful Permanent Resident status. Problem is, they're gonna do background checks on both of you, especially her since she's considered a foreign national, when they find out that she's an illegal(which they will, can't hide anything from investigators, don't even try), you're up **** creek. Good luck man, don't rush into anything.

Marriage is about the worst idea you could possibly have right now. Right up there with seeing what sex without a condom feels like. well yuu can get it out of your head. I Can't marry her now because she'll get deported if I do. I'm doing it for her btw its not like i want to get married as a teen. and me joining the military is not going to happen. period. ive made the decisicion a long time ago. im not going to b like my father.

Especially when even considering options that will require so much from you. and you can stop acting like a know it all.An unsurprising reaction. I imagine you think my opinion harsh, but I did not sugarcoat my opinion on your situation for what I believe is your own good.
Author joncolon4 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 my mother is the only one in the world that knows wats best for my own good. and she supports me in what im going to accomplish. I made a promise to my gf already. i told her shes going to live here in the US legally and that I'm going to do everything to get her there. Whether shes with me or not.
Viking Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 TO ISLANDGURL i hate to say it but i think ur riyte. luv iz a b****....im gunna have to have a long talk with her about all this. iz there any other information you can give me to help out? TO ARIADNE dont take it like i WANT to get married...its more so she can live here in the US legally because thats wat she wants to do but cnt So if you don't want to get married DON'T!!!!!! Its not worth the aggravation, work and money. You're 15 and I seriously doubt what you have will last. Sounds like she's using you big time. You'd be doing yourself a great disservice by going forward with this. That and her and her family have been sponging from the government when the government has so little for its own citizens as it is. Also, stop using slang. Its annoying trying to figure out what you are saying when you are short cutting a lot of words. Eg riyte, cuz. People are judging you because you're making rash decisions based on your horomones. Grow up a little and you'll see its a bad idea. It sounds like you want her to be a citizen. Don't throw your future away because you're "in love". I'm going to refrain from making any immigration remarks but she's illegal and shouldn't be here and she's taking tax dollars from our own citizens.
Bejita463 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 my mother is the only one in the world that knows wats best for my own good. Oh man, I just got served. I guess I should not have offered my unsolicited opinion. Wait a second. Something is amiss. I'd luv feedback and advice from whoever so just say how you feel So...if anyone has any advice at all, or any feedback or comments, please post I'd love to hear what others think about my situation. And boom goes the dynamite. What are you getting so worked up over anyway? My opinion was clearly directed at your idea of marrying this girl, which is an idea you seem to have already discarded. If my opinion is so disagreeable to you, ignore it.
Author joncolon4 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Ok i apologize you're right. You are all saying your own opinions and I shouldn't be getting worked up over them. Thanks for your input. Again I just realized how unrational I was just being...i kind of feel like the ignorant one now.

Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best.
Author joncolon4 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Hahahaha yea. Thank you. What would anyone else do if they were in my situation right now?
Lish Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 TO ISLANDGURL i hate to say it but i think ur riyte. luv iz a b****....im gunna have to have a long talk with her about all this. iz there any other information you can give me to help out? TO ARIADNE dont take it like i WANT to get married...its more so she can live here in the US legally because thats wat she wants to do but cnt This is actually ridiculous. A fifteen year old wants to marry an illegal immigrant. YOU are ridiculous. This girl knows she's an illegal immigrant. Her family also knows they are. They are breaking the law. She should not be in the country and should go home and do it legally like she is supposed to. And because you speak to this girl on MySpace and see her a few hours a month, you're oh so in love & want to waltz this girl up the aisle to condone her & her family's illegal behaviour? This is a disgrace. You are FIFTEEN. My cousin is fifteen and she's probably pottering around in her room with the new eyeshadow she likes (not that I'm suggesting you should be too, but it doesn't compare with what you're currently thinking about.), you should not even be considering this. I'm not belittling the fact you're young and i'm definitely not implying you're immature.. I understand that you want to help, but this is NOT your responsibility. She is breaking the law by staying there and that's ALL there is to it.
Author joncolon4 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Yes she really is and thats why I'm telling her to get back to Mexico asap. But its not that easy because she really wants to. she knows shes breaking the law and she feels horrible for it. Now how is she supposed to get to mexico when her parents don't want to? Unless she just waits till shes 18. and again, its not like i WANT to get married. don't get me wrong because I know I'm 15 how the heck am I going to get married now? How many teens do you see get married? Its more for her so she can get out of the state that she's in.
Jilly Bean Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Move to Mexico with her, and become an illegal in her country.
Author joncolon4 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 hahahaha way to think outside the box jilly bean.
Island Girl Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Help her work out the birth certificate issue. Right now she is illegal in BOTH countries. Did you find out anything today?
Author joncolon4 Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 Nope. Nothing. I can't do anything until I get in touch with a lawyer. Which I'm waitingfor callbacks on...Theres a really good lawyer in LA. shes on tv all the time and everything. im gunna try and give her a call to see where that takes me.

D-Lish Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I don't understand how someone can be registered in the school system without having any papers??? They'd need a birth certificate and proof of citizenship to enroll...no?
Lish Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I don't understand how someone can be registered in the school system without having any papers??? They'd need a birth certificate and proof of citizenship to enroll...no? I was actually thinking of that... and how did she even get a job? Hmmmm....... oh and, awesome name
Author joncolon4 Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 lolz thank you well i asked her about the job...she told me her folks got her a fake SS# and that is NOT ok...very bad... as for how she got enrolled in school...She actually doesnt know because her parents try to keep all of that away from her.
D-Lish Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I was actually thinking of that... and how did she even get a job? Hmmmm....... oh and, awesome name Your name rocks too! Still, I'd think the problems would come as soon as you enroll. they don't check back at graduation to make sure you'd been in order all along- They be concerned with that first. upon registration. As for a job, I guess she could be working under the table. A birth certificate should be the first piece of ID they'd require- unless they bought a false one.
