I went out with a guy for about 6 months maybe almost 6 years ago.

We had a blast with each other- but i was in transition of buying my store and he was so busy with contract work that we were both working 7 days a week during that time.

It became apparant quite soon that we had some scheduling problems. We tried to make the time- and the time we did spend was always pretty damn good.

We lived 2 hours away, and eventually we decided that our timing was off, so we broke up. Shortly after breaking up he met a girl who lives in his area and they stayed together for over 3 years.

No he is single again, has been for 2 years. He found me on POF today and his message really freaked me out at first. He wants to go out for dinner. He is now closer to me, and both our jobs aren't anywhere as demanding as they were when we first met.

I am on the fence about going out with him.

I don't know if it's worth it.

D, my gut instinct is No. I've tried this before with old lovers and it is never the same as it was. 6 years of living have separated you from each other. If you do see him, pick a neutral site and just have coffee, or something, so you can leave , after an hour and no hard feelings. Never a dinner, at first, with all the obligations , that entails.;)
