So anyway I was at a going away get together party at a bar last night with some friends along with people I didn't know but were there for the same party. Having a drink I went to chat up this girl, she wasn't that social needless to say and then her friend standing next to her butted in and broke the ice with me. Apparently it was the same girl from the last time there was a get together a few months back. She recalls who I was and thought I was hot from the last time and from this time, or the way I dressed was hot. I was really flattered and I hadn't heard that from a girl in ages, and I thought she was really cute.

Anyway out conversation was cut short and interrupted by her friend, and my friends came over to talk to me. I left shortly later with my friends, but before that I said bye to the girl. She seemed anxious, upset, flustered about what to do because I was already leaving so soon. I said I would facebook her and she mentioned to her friend about inviting me to some bbq of sorts...there were no details of course.

So I added her on facebook today and commented on her profile pic. Now we're facebook friends.

She actually lives in my neighborhood. Anyway what should I do? Should I ask her out on facebook or wait for her to invite me to a future event (or bbq if it's even going to happen)? I kind of feel like I made the kiss of death by adding her on facebook. I could have asked her out and not friended her but it was too late.

I dont think you scrwed it up, your last words to her were that you were going to look her up. (thats IF you said that to HER) But dont ask her out, make small talk on facebook. She should mention the BBQ if she wants you to go.

Yes, please do not ask her out via Facebook.

Hey thanks for the replies. I figured it'd be a bad idea..the whole facebook asking someone out does seem kind of creepy. I guess if I'm not invited to anything there are plenty of fish in the sea. :)
