Wow, is that a known effect for Prozac? Does it say on the warning label it might stunt growth, etc?

It is only recently being discovered. Prozac eliminates Growth Hormone output, that's why people get fat on it. It also eliminates 3 other vital growth hormones. Look it up on google if you're curious. The FDA says adolescents lose .5 inches for every 19 weeks your on it... I was on it 5 years, maximum dose, which equals 11 inches. I didn't lose 11 inches but I was supposed to be around my dad's height

that's actually very true... it pisses me off how a girl can have a 5'3" father, end up being very short, and still be beautiful... but if the father has a short son he is worthless.

damn this world, it sucks being 3 inches shorter than my 6'2" father because medicine stunted my growth!!!!

If you are 5'11", why are you complaining? That certainly isn't short, and it is probably two inches taller than the height of the average male in the US. I'm 5' 8.5" and I rarely feel short myself. Then again, I don't try to go for 6' tall women.

I'm assuming that some women must have rejected you for being under 6' tall - either that or you assume that they rejected you for not being 6' tall. Even if you were 6' tall, how do you know that the same women wouldn't have rejected you for other reasons? If a woman shorter than you is so shallow that one or two inches in height is going to be a deal breaker, why would you even want to be with someone like that?

That's interesting, cause where I'm from in the US 5'8" is pretty much the shortest guy around here, 5'6" tops. Even 5'10" guys look kinda short where I'm from. No woman has ever rejected me for height, but I haven't even tried to go for girls in a long long time. I was almost engaged a while ago but that's it.

Where do you live? Isn't the average height for a male in the US like 5'9" or maybe 5'10"? I'm in Chicago and there are a lot of people shorter than me. I used to work at a law firm that had a lot of Jewish attorneys, many of whom were under 5'7".

When you consider the influx of immigrants into the US from south of the border, the average height of males in the US is actually probably slightly decreasing.

even though hes tall he still understand's womens heightism (most taller people just seem to laugh it off as nothing)

5'11 is not tall where I live. I am far too often one of the shorter guys in the room. Thanks for calling me tall though :)

I live in the suburbs of a very big city in the southeast US, where most people come from very good/strong genetics, meaning taller and smarter people. Sounds like I need to move to Chicago :D

By the way, I have friends who are taller than me who do seem to date more than me. However, I think that might be just because they are not as selective as me. When I do have a girlfriend, she's usually way more attractive than what any of my taller friends ever get and I am basing that on typical standards of beauty.

A lot of the women who aren't tall, yet have strict height requirements are often very average looking. This may just be my own biased opinion, but the hotter women don't seem to care as much as long as the guy is at least a little taller than she is.

I have mentioned this before, but I see some good looking women who work out at the same gym as me and I honestly think that they greatly prefer a guy of average height who is in shape as opposed to a tall guy who isn't in good shape. I see a lot of goofy-looking tall guys at my gym and I doubt that they are pulling the most desirable women.

My preference is for a 7' amazonian woman who's thin and sexy. That would be perfect. :lmao:

I'm 6'1... I've dated 5'7 and 5'3 and in between... The taller one makes kissing and sex easier, 5'3 petite is a TURN ON plus, you can pick them up whenever where ever.. im active in the gym so really picking up either isn't to bad.

(It's only fair... The LS-Ladies started a thread about height, so now it's our turn!)

I'm 5'8 and my ideal companion height is 5'3 and below!

Height isn't a big issue for me...

She can't be shorter than 5' and taller than 6'4" - I'm one of those guys that's comfortable with my height and is more about showing the woman a good time and making her feel good :)

I'm thinking you should probably move to L.A. - matches your attitude better :D

I'm 5'10 1/2, slightly under 6'0 with basketball shoes on (yes I had my friends measure  at the gym)

The perfect height for me is 5'5-5'7. Although my range is from 5'2-5'8ish. The average height I would say is 5'4-5'5. Anything shorter than I'm afraid I'm going to pregnate her and have short kids. (KIDDING) Anything taller, then I feel akward. (NOT KIDDING)

Why is 5'5-5'7 my preferred height? They are tall enough where I find them sexy and the type of build I like (semi petite, but not like a little girl), but if they strap on heels, I'll still be a little taller (unless the bring out the power heels LOL)

I'm barely just 5'4" and I like being short, but my ideal height would be 5'6". It's good because you can gain or lose a couple pounds without it showing right away, and people this height generally have nicer legs than us petite girls. But, I do like being short, where I'm not too short. It's funny, people think I am taller than I am because I'm thin and have a long torso.

The advantage of being short is that we guys can generally pick you up alot easier :D

As tall as my shoulder at the shortest. As tall as my eyes at the tallest.

Then you should move since it bothers you so much.

I live in a place (West Coast) where people generally are on the taller side. Average is 5'10 or 5'11 I'd guess. b And all over the West Coast I've found it to be the same.

I am 5'9.5"

I lived on the East Coast for a while - specifically NJ and I was very tall compared to most people including most men.

You want to feel tall - go there.
