xpaperxcutx Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Does anyone have a signature scent for when you go on dates? Every time I go out on a date I make use of my Givenchy Paris Organza perfume. It's very floral and rich yet not as overwhelming as other perfumes you might find on the market. Almost every date in the past has complimented me on how great I smelled. The only thing that I would find a flaw is that the scent does fade after a while, thus I like to keep a small bottle in my bag for when I head to the restroom to " tidy up". Does any of you have a perfume/cologne you use primarily for dates? How much do you spritz on yourself to keep yourself freshly scented for the evening?
SoulSearch_CO Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Eh. I only have one perfume and I wear it whenever. Clinique Happy. Spritz the neck, the wrists and the sacral chakra. The scent lasts a long time and I get great compliments on it.

But I'm a little uncertain about the last one....
callingyouuu Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Well I spritz the first two, and sometimes I apply a little perfume to my hands so I can run it through my hair. But I'm a little uncertain about the last one.... I don't think the hair thing is recommended, just because the scent isn't attached to a pulse point and your skin (like it would be for your wrists, neck, etc), so it might not properly mix with your body chemistry to create the right smell. Then again, I've never tried it. I just think it's enough for your hair to smell clean with whatever shampoo you use, and let your perfume/cologne take care of the way your body as a whole smells.

But I'm a little uncertain about the last one.... Heehee...just below the waistband. Not in hair territory. But that area heats up when you get aroused and the heat causes the perfume scent to be more noticeable.
bluewolf17 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I love D&G's La Lune, but for dates I like Chanell's Madamosoille (sp). I don't like to much on a man or woman. Two light sprays is more than enough.

Cora Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I wear nothing but Davidoff's Cool Water. Been wearing it ever since high school/college so maybe it's time for a change haha. But I just love it so much!!

Cora Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I can't really decscribe it. You would have to smell it yourself to see if it is something you like. I like it because it is not a very strong scent. It's kind of a light and fresh scent if that makes any sense. Kind of hard to describe, but I love it!
Island Girl Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Victoria's Secret Pink And LOL the hair thing does work -- I am a "flipper" and I have had several men come up to me and compliment me on my scent when I have been several feet away - facing the other direction.
runnergal Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I absolutely love Clean Simply Soap parfum. It has a clean smell to it..Hence, the name! HA! I get SOOOO many compliments on it because alot of men just like a "clean" smell over flower, spicy scents. I also like Pink Sugar parfum as well! Both you can get at Sephora. You can also google parfums for your birth sign....really interesting! :-)
LucreziaBorgia Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 A roll on perfume oil made by a guy that lives in a nearby town using a mix of Egyptian Musk and something else he won't tell. I wear only a tiny bit and invariably get compliments on it.

I take a shower and I have a nice scent that way
AlektraClementine Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I can usually be caught smelling like vanilla or honeysuckle. I buy from a fragrance company that has spot-on likenesses to any smell. You want to smell like dirt or fresh cut grass? They got that too.
Lizzie60 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I have many perfumes.. but my signature scent is : Euphoria... it is an amazing sexy scent.. My 2nd favourite is Neige by Lise Watier. I get tons of compliments from that one..
Soul Bear Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I've noticed when I go out with no aftershave I get hit on more than when I wear a scent...
Lizzie60 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I've noticed when I go out with no aftershave I get hit on more than when I wear a scent... Then your scent is called : Pheromone No.5
Isolde Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I've noticed when I go out with no aftershave I get hit on more than when I wear a scent... Love your new avvy! For a special occasion, I would wear a fragrance that's a little heavier and muskier than what I normally wear (a parfum vs. eau de toilette). Dior has some good ones, some of which are particularly great for younger women and others which are suitable for all ages.
missdependant Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Never could stand wearing purfume. Instead I'd just wear a light scented lotion from bath and bodyworks or victoria's secret. I have a lot of favorites and TONS of lotion, and usually I like to mix and match a couple of scents together.
sally4sara Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Chanel, but it is also dependent on what season it is. Chance if it is warm out. Coco if it is cold.
CaliGuy Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Armani Code seems to do the trick for me. Literally can't keep them away when I wear that stuff!
Art_Critic Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Chanel, but it is also dependent on what season it is. deer season ? I love Chanel.. I have always liked how a woman smells right out of the shower.. some of those body gels that VS sells are great...
Sam Spade Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Screw fragrances . My ideal date would take a shower, then run 5 miles, then show up on the data right after .
V.Vixen Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Perry Ellis 360 or Ralph Lauren Blue are my 2 faves. Both nice clean scents. I LOVE Aqua Di Gio on a man.
