utvol2054 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 So I met this girl on a online dating site and she seems pretty cool. She said she likes dog parks as a first date. Fine with me I like nice and casual so I dropped her a line and said sometime next week and if she was in I would give her my phone number. She got back to me and said yes. We are both 23 so we are young. I really wouldn't consider this a date so I'm wondering if I should bring her anything. I really wasn't planning on it I have never met a girl in this way before.
BobSacamento Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Just show up. She'll be thrilled you did that. If you bring anything make sure it's something that can keep you entertained if she stood you up.
SoulSearch_CO Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Noooo, don't bring her anything. Let her learn that the pleasure of your company is gift enough. (Being slightly tongue-in-cheek, but I'm still being serious.)
callingyouuu Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Your dog, maybe? Don't bring it FOR her, but just because you're meeting at a....never mind. Just bring your smile and good company, and you'll be fine!
xpaperxcutx Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I would bring two sandwiches in case you'd get hungry. Is it a picnic? In any case, if it's casual you wouldn't need to pay for lunch at a restaurant.
SoulSearch_CO Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Your dog, maybe? Don't bring it FOR her, but just because you're meeting at a....never mind. LOL. That was cute.
browolf Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 the best thing you can do is have a rough plan. Stuff you can do when you've done with the park or ways to make the park more interesting, xpaperxcutx's idea of making a couple of sandwiches is a neat idea as long as you have an idea what she likes or doesnt lol.
northstar1 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Bring a treat for her dog. Thoughtful but not over the top

stuckinwithyou Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 make sure you choke the chicken you don't want to meet her acting like hot and weird, you need to release so you can aim to please. try to be like a gentleman and be very thoughtful of her, ask her question about her interest and be a very good listener " after marriage you can ignore he all you want" try to open the car door for her and be attentive to her needs this is just a few I ll let you know if I come across some more
WTFO Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 My philosophy is always bring the woman flowers for the 1st date. Not roses or anything big like that, but just some daisy's or "natural" flowers. I went on a 1st date last weekend and this woman told me she was dating for 4 months and not one guy brought her flowers but me, for the 1st date. Needless to say it made a big impression and told me it was a "classy"move. Good luck.
KS882 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I'm probably strange but I wouldn't like it if a guy brought me flowers or anything on a first date. Just me though! Not sure why just seems a bit... I dunno. But some girls would love that. I think just going along, talking, getting to know eachother is good for the first time you meet. If bringing flowers or something is your kinda thing then go for it! Have fun!
