Soul Bear Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 It worked better than I could ever have hoped for. After moving on and giving up false hope, I found myself, bits of the old me and the new me. And even though it's only been about 6 months or so, I wouldn't have GROWN to be who I am now if I had not gone NC. Now I don't even want her back and am very happy with who I am becoming. Very happy with the outcome, even though my intentions at first were to 'win her back' with NC You CAN do better than your ex I met this amazing girl the other day, never thought i would meet anyone better than my ex in any way- the chemistry was completely explosive..she blows my ex out the water in every way. Happens when you least expect it. Good luck with NC! What awaits you round the corner is far, far more exciting, and you will be happy with yourself too.

Sounds lovely I am excited for you and myself too....as for the last 2 weeks or so I have been really feeling like the old me before my ex. I am not 100% there yet but I am at the point of not looking back and I am not on the highs and lows anymore but am more on a high. I can feel that on the horizon things are looking bright and rosy and today I started to question if I really would ever give my ex another chance, am I still inlove with him? And the answer was that I didn't know...which is a weird but good feeling. I am more on the side of wanting someone new and better and thinking of going back with him makes me feel tired and almost depressed. So I am actually continuing NC and looking ahead. Maybe in the future I can be his friend or some such but for now I don't need him as a friend and I don't want him as a lover and I do not get knots in my stomach anymore when thinking of him and his new gf. I am feeling great and I FEEL like it is only going to get better. So yess NC does work and is working for me as well.

You just don't realise how amazing it is until you actually get there! And thanks for your compliment Zilverenvlinder- Hot chocolate and a backrub would hit the spot right now! hahaha Beeotch-YAY! Another person who has been through the motions of NC and come out smiling....really incredible feeling isnt it? I know exactly how you feel, just sort of 'done' with them.. John- Thanks bro Peanut- Thank you too Please, anyone here who is waivering on NC, just do it....After 1 month you will start to feel ok, after 2 months you will start to work on yourself and not even want any contact from them. After 3 months you will start to become YOU again, that same wonderful person that was able to attract someone like your ex, but you will be even better. After 4 months, well, you will be feeling on top of the world and posting something like this hopefully. 'Bear' in mind, you have to actually let go...but that will happen, there is no way to explain how, but we can SHOW YOU the first step by starting NC

Yeah man, I'll be back down in London at some point soon..... livin the dream . Say hey to Ada and Andy if you get a chance. When I moved to London, It was AMAZING to get away and re-invent myself again. Now I'm strong enough to face the last part of my self healing breakup journey which is back in Scotland with mutual friends and the city we used to live in on and off for years. And it feels good! Facing fears breaks down all those mental barriers and you just feel incredibly strong..... The last week since I have been up here, I have been going to parties where we used to go, seeing friends we used to see together, and listening to music that I used to associate with 'us' and our time together. I'm smashing the s*hit out of heartbreak and turning it into self love I feel like a prize that she can't have...nor anyone else unless they blow me away. hahaha The best bit? She isn't here and spends all her free time with her new BF, doesn't speak to our friends of 6 years anymore either....they aint to impressed with her anyway, so it's all good! If we ever see each other again, she is going to eat herself, and I will be able to just me ME and not give a ****. HAHAHAHA!!!!
