I've always been curious about this. When a girl walks into a class, how do they decide who you sit next to. I've been thinking about it for awhile, this is the best I could come up with:

Current friends > acquaintances > sit alone > good looking guys > girls > smart looking guys

I can't imagine anyone actually considering all that before they sit somewhere, but from watching where people sit, it seems that way.

Any opinions?

A lot of it also depends on where people want to sit in relation to the professor.

Although I haven't noticed I do this until now, the first seat I'd take is one with an empty chair on both sides of me. Otherwise, I'd sit next to whoever, it doesn't matter to me. That is if I don't know anyone in that class.

If someone puts that much thought into where they sit then they're probably a psychopath or have mental issues.

Most people sit with their friends, or if they don't know anyone sit on there own. Sitting next to someone in a lecture theatre that you don't know but find attractive I think is a bit creepy.

I have been wondering the same thing.... I always sit in the back as i am 6'5 and need the extra leg room . I also dont want to block peoples view because i am taller than everyone. Anyway in order to sit in the back i usually come in early so i can take the back seat quickly but the strange thing is that i have had only girls sit next to me. I have 6 classes and in every single class i have had mostly girls sitting next to me. In only one class i have a older guy sitting next to me.

I sit in the class where I feel most comfortable. Normally off to the side, around the middle. I don't like being to close, don't like being to far. But I hate being right in the middle of the class. I usually go for a aisle seat. And hey, if someone cute sits next to me, so be it.

I go to a big school, and I often don't know anyone in class. But if I do, I might sit by them as long as they aren't in the front row.

This isn't a men's room therefore there are no laws about where to sit. The only applicable law, is the men's room law. Other than that, it's just chance where these people sit.

I like to sit center back of the class. If there's a smoking hot girl around me, fine. If not, that's fine too. I'm paying good money to learn, not to ogle girls. If I want to pay money to ogle girls, I'll go to a titty bar where I'll have a better ROI.
