john1988 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I was reading a thread earlier where someone said that their ex split up with them but they (the dumper) still keep photos lying around and wear jewelery and clothing which they received as gifts from the dumpee. I actually had a similar situation myself where my ex even held onto cd's and dvd's her excuse was she "must've lost them." Just wondering what the general consensus is? Do you think they may be holding onto something? Does it help them psycholgically to move forward? Or do you believe that it's just the case they are comfortable with these possessions because they are over things? Are stubborness and fear of rejection factors in why people sometimes do not come back?
Exit Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 They probably just don't care, don't feel like they owe you anything. My ex held onto a bunch of my stuff, I told her she could drop it off when I wasn't even home, she drives past my neighborhood every day. 2 weeks later I had to go confront her to get it back.
borbiusle Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Maybe it's a power thing, like winning a trophy.
