Ahahahahahaahah.....I think this guy's been reading LS and PUA sites, turned all the "don't do"s, into "do"s and is now striking out on a consistent basis. Talk about psychological issues! :lmao:

Yeah tell me about it. What I don't get it, who's paying him to get lessons from him!?

When I said not all PUA are that broken I was refering to your comment that they are insane, or have deep psychological issues.

Womanizers and lack of respect for women, sure. That's kinda different from deeper psychological issues.

no actually, it's kind of the same thing. Womanizing and lack of respect for an entire gender can only come from deep seated mental issues.

Not really, it can come from the moral value of a person.

That's why I had this big debate about morality, biology etc with several people on the cheating, jealousy, section.

Over here in Asia there are so many men that don't care about women, and it's not because they have deep seated mental issues. It's because many Asian societies are like the US in the 1950's. It's more sexist, and there's a different value system.

If a person has a different value system, that's something different.

It's only an issue if it affects them negatively, but a very consistent theme with men that are compulsively picking up women is that they're very lonely.

This guy's pathetic form of attempted manipulation might work with the overly-stupid, overly-sensitive woman. She'll try to prove her self-worth by calling him back so she can't be labelled as someone with mental issues.

This is taking the carrot/stick negging to highly stupid degrees. While there's a lot of advice on LS, that says "men, don't listen to women", I think this time, no matter how misogynistic the man is, he'll have to agree with the women. This methodology will not get you a date and very few call backs, even to blast you.

The sad thing is I once said something similar to a guy I was interested in. The gist was: "I'm probably a lot more normal and cool than you think!" It was one of those painful situations where I had already screwed up and was scrambling to do damage control, but in doing so kept digging myself into an even deeper hole.

After listening to those voicemails I realize how desperate and creepy I must have seemed.

Yes but in patriarchal societies it's conditioning it is designed to curtail the authority of a woman in any respect, you are comparing apples and oranges. In America and Europe we are not conditioned by the patriarchy not since the 1950's at least. We live in a freer equal society, therefore any one who deviates from that in an extreme way is considered pathologically impaired. In these cases where the men had extremely abusive family units, they are the exception not the norm.

It's like telling me to accept a little inappropriate sexual misconduct against me in the workplace since in Afghanistan women have no rights. Sure women are conditioned to have little power in other parts of the world but that does not make my right as an American female citizen any less valid or the idea that a man in the work place in this day in age living in North America will not understand that there are serious repercussions to his misconduct against women in the work place. Only someone who is not mentally stable would proceed to override the system.

What actually got us to this social point is sort of irrelevant, we don't go around humping other humans like dogs in heat in the middle of the street yet we are animals and our bilogical make-up is designed to do that from a purely instinctual sense. But conditioning has helped us progress past that, imagine the pandemonium if we didn't evolve in that respect?

If you did do that would you be considered mentally stable?

hahaha, good points.

It's still a matter of debate though. Apart from sex-addiction, there's really not much official classification psychologists give to explain why men would sleep around. Insanity can't be attributed to all....

I think his fixation on whether the woman has psychological issues goes deeper than just extreme negging (which it also may have been). It gives away his own mental problems, if you hadn't already figured them out. Ever notice how crazy people are always calling other people crazy? You hear this in psychotic people who roam the streets and ramble to themselves.

No one said they're insane; just that they probably have psychological issues. Sleeping around isn't a disorder, but it is a symptom of many DSM-IV documented personality disorders.

I can't decide if he's technically crazy or just friggen' weird.

I posted the link on my facebook, and everyone's having a good laugh. I don't think there's a single female in this world that would fall for that extreme a form of approach.

The irony is he's actually weeding out all the normal women and selecting for crazies because a woman would have to be psychologically unsound to fall for that crap.

You're right insanity can be a byproduct of scarring mental issues. Some fix their issues, others have insane tendencies like in the case of Dimitri. You have to admit his tendencies are pretty insane.

That call recording alone is good indication of what insanity looks/sounds like. :D

Did anyone recognize his accent? I've heard Torontonians sound like that but not all of them do. Is this an area/district specific accent? It's not Greek/Canadian.

At first I thought he was Midwestern American. But there's some similarity between that accent and some Canadian accents.

Yes, there's an American edge to it, which is what I've always thought when I heard this kind of accent but wondered, since it came from a Torontonian.

I've spoken and met people from Chicago and this seems a little off. It almost has a slight Brooklyn (?) twinge to it?

Sorry for going OT but that accent's been bugging me for years!

The accent is very Greek/Italo-Canadian. It's weird because his real name does not indicate either ethnicity?!?!

My man has extended family that has a slight Greek twinge to their accents and it doesn't sound like this. Perhaps it's the Italian component? Dmitri is a Greek name or isn't this his real name? I forget and are too lazy/seriously don't want to listen again.

I think it must be a Toronto thing then? I've heard both Italian and Greek men sound exactly like this, then dated a Greek guy who was more from northern Ontario (apparently there is a big Greek community in northern ontario) and though he had a faint accent it was nothing like this guy.

Apparently, his real name is James N Sears, unless he changed his name to an English sounding one and his real name is Greek? Or he does the accent to match the name Dimitri? who knows... he's such a creepy nut case....

One question. I clicked on his myspace page that is posted in one of the comments below the audio and it says that he is in my extended network. What the heck does that mean? Does it show up like this for everybody? Someone try it and let me know. Should I be worried?

His accent is very Canadian.

Listen to the beginning of the first message: "Yahithere", the Canadian "sorey" for sorry, and then an "aboot". Those are all very Canadian.

I'm not hearing any Brooklyn in there at all. People in Chicago don't sound much like Canadians. Their vowels are different.

Yikes!! Never has six degrees of separation been scarier!
