In any half-decent medical school, it would die out even BEFORE they reach gyno status. That's many many years we're talking about, usually 10-12 all in all from the time they begin medical school to the time they become a gyno, including at least 5-7 years of practice in that field; you don't remain deluded for that long, typically.

Well, because in a lot of these cases of PUA's they come from very similar abusive backrounds. If you look at what Mystery has to say about his family it is very similar to what Dimitri has to say. These men come from very toxic upbringings, they never learned how to love or respect themselves and thus women so they grow up mentally and emotionally unstable/broken and then pretend like they are doing men a great favour when in fact all they are doing is using a public platform disguised as "helpful" to perpetuate their loathing of women and themselves. Think American Psycho, smooth and together on the outside deeply tormented and irreparably scarred on the inside. Background: James N. Sears (aka Dimitri the Lover), born August 21, 1964 in Toronto in the early 1960s. According to court transcripts and disciplinary records from College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, one parent of Sears was abusive and alcoholic and his other parent struggled with mental illness.[3] Sears describes his parents: “My father was very physically and emotionally abusive. My mother was just a borderline manic, histrionic, dramatic woman, and I did not grow up really understanding what love was.” He entered medical school at the University of Toronto in 1983. By 1986, during his third year of medical school and while serving in the Canadian Armed Forces, he was evaluated by a military psychiatrist as a result of erratic behavior that drew complaints. He was forced to repeat a year of medical school, but graduated in 1988. It was discussed in some PUA thread that Taramere started (I think?) and I read some comments she made about the book, (I find her posts rather insightful) so upon reading her comments I would read it. When I said not all PUA are that broken I was refering to your comment that they are insane, or have deep psychological issues. Womanizers and lack of respect for women, sure. That's kinda different from deeper psychological issues.
