Whats the best thing to do to burn some 20-40 pounds in some weeks?

 

I have a holidays soon, jsut joined a fancy gym. what kind of diet should i folow? help!

 

I despise the treadmill, and am out of shape a the summer hols have taken their toll on me. i wiegh about 220 pounds and am 6ft, at 16 years old. Im not very fat, but i have certain spots with quite abit, i have alot of muscle undee the fat layer and want ot release it.

generally it would take six months to a year to lose that amount of weight in a healthy fashion.

Screw healthy i need this weight off for holidays. After that, then i will do it the healthy way.

I lost almost 50 lbs in less than 4 months- but that was from the divorce diet:o I barely ate due to the heartache.

 

I have managed to keep it off for 7+ years now.

 

The best advice I ever got was to consume protein for breakfast. I eat an egg or two every morning for breakfast. It really does help burn more calories throughout the day. It's 65% more effective at burning calories throughout the day than no breakfast or a carb loaded breakfast.

 

You'll have to do the whole burn more than you consume route to take off the weight. That means cardio- and lots of it, coupled with eating less.

 

Sorry you don't like the treadmill- but to shed the weight that fast, you'll have to hop on it and be diligent about it.

If you want to lose weight..stick to running and cardio..if you want muscle and to get big like i am..you need to cut down on running and intake "healthy calories". Not junk food or soda...simple sugars are useless to the body and dont do a thing but make your stomach look bigger. Eat healthy..water..not soda...eat banannas as snacks..grapes..certain cheeses have large ammounts on protein as well as egg whites...best protein on the planet

The very highest amount of weight (fat) to lose in a healthy way should ideally be no more than 2 pounds a week.

 

So...seeing as you'd like to lose 20-40 pounds, this would take you about 10-20 weeks -- if you're being consistent, and going about it in the right way.

 

Btw, if you do it the right way, and are losing fat, not a whole lot of muscle, even a 10 pound weight loss will make a really big difference in your appearance.
