letinmotion Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I'm always interested in seeing what other couples are doing for fun and think it would be cool if we could share some our most fun and exciting dates. I think one of the best dates I have had is when I took this girl I was seeing out on my boat and out to this island for a camping trip. We met up with my band mates, made camp, cooked, had drinks, laughed and had a little acoustic session with myself and the band. It was a really amazing time and she absolutely loved it. What kind of dates have you guys been on?
bluewolf17 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Great thread. I often mentally back burner interesting date ideas for future references. Hot Air Balloon Ride Skydiving Camping/caving/fishing Going to see plays!!!!!!!! Live theatre is the best. Museams (even tacky ones) wine tasting go cart racing lazer tag (yeah I'm a big kid). Just some. I left out the romantice dates. That's another thread.
Cora Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I would have to say taking a walk downtown on the waterfront and taking pictures. He was a photographer and I told him I always wanted to learn how to take good pictures. So he gave me a lesson on good photography. It was different from the usual dinner/movie thing and it gave us a chance to talk and get to know each other.
dreamergrl Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Don't laugh.. my favorite is the zoo or aquarium.
tigressA Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 The most fun/sweet date I had ever been on was my very first, with my first boyfriend. He had said, "Whatever you want to do, we'll do" so I took him at his word. I don't know how or why, but my immune system failed the evening before and I became sick with a miserable cold--sore throat, runny nose, congestion, et cetera. I still really wanted to go on the date anyway though, and he was a perfect gentleman about it all. We got Chinese takeout and ate it at a local playground, where we then went on the swings, and he pushed me. I had wanted to see a movie but then I said, "It's so nice outside today; I don't feel like seeing a movie...let's go to Baltimore; I've never been there before (it's less than an hr. drive from where I go to school)." So he drove to Baltimore and we walked around the Inner Harbor, talking. He asked if he could hold my hand; it was very sweet. Before he dropped me off at my dorm that night he picked up Kleenex and cough drops for me from his house. I was head over heels.
