Lovin a scrapper Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 We took off Thursday down to southwest Oklahoma for her to meet my parents and they absolutely loved her. There was a bonus when my niece and nephew spent the day and evening with us as well. Friday we headed back up to OKC to my best friends house and smoked some ribs, bought some adult beverages and several of my friends showed up and we sat outside and just talked until about two in the morning. They all got spend time with her and we all loved it. Saturday we went to the Elks club in OKC. There is a pool there and we all grilled out and spent the day poolside. Then chilled that night watching some movies at my friends house. Sunday was reserved for just Rayette and myself. We spent our last day and night enjoying our alone time together. It was amazing. These things dont sound like high end fun but they are the things that we love doing so to us it was incredible. All in all to us it was the perfect two weeks. She had to fly out yesterday and of course it was heartbreaking but the amazing two weeks far outweigh the misery of her leaving. Our next coundown to seeing each other will be when she books a one way flight and we will drive to Oregon to be together forever. Thanks for all of your comments and you know we love you all!!!! Island Girl Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Oh Jeff those times like cooking, eating, and sharing sound amazing. My husband and I love to do things just like that. Relaxing times with each other and family/friends are the best of all. I am so glad your families mesh so well and it sounds like each of you compliment the other. How wonderful that this last countdown will be your last as far as the distance goes. That news is simply wonderful. Bad days, good days - we are just lucky to have found that partner for life, aren't we?
