As I nearly always burst into tears promptly following any kind of physical intimacy cause it makes me feel like a ho, I thought it'd be fun to start a thread to gauge promiscuity.

Please fill out the survey below for part 1. For part 2, tell us who you think is a ho, based on your "standards" and their answers.

Would their "ho" status stop you from getting to know them? Dating them? Sleeping with them?

Survey:

Age:

# people you have slept with:

in a serious relationship:

in a dead-end relationship:

in a relationship that (s)he thought was serious but you ended promptly after having sex with him/her:

FWB:

1-night stand:

"accident":

other (elaborate):

# people you've made out with:

Comments:

Posted

I predict there will be few responses to this survey.

Not because there aren't ho's here but simply that so many are that they (we) don't want to admit it publicly ;)

1-night stand: 0

"accident": 1

other (elaborate):

# people you've made out with: hundreds probably

Comments: The longer I go without being involved with anyone, the better I feel about myself. I think I prefer fantasy over reality of being with someone.

I am hoping this thread will get nasty. But more than that I am genuinely curious about people's realities vs. expectations.

Had to get that outta my system - with your title all I can think is "you'z a hooooo"

What, exactly, constitutes an accident? How do you "accidentally" have sex with someone? That part's confusing.

Comments: 1 of the make-out sessions was with my neighbor's hot older friend during a drunken get-together. Ended up alone and dancing in my apartment, started to get heated on the couch with much fondling fun, neighbor interrupted with pants at half-mast. We could've continued, but she was pretty drunk. I did the sensible thing and took her home to her kids. Thus, 1/2 of a 1-night stand. I was told by my neighbor the next day she was looking for FWB. I pursued my current dead-end relationship. Still wondering why I never called her...:laugh:

Well.... you can get a little too close to your married friend and before you know it... he's inside you. And then his wife's banging on the door and two days later, he's asleep on your couch cause they're getting divorced and he has nowhere to go.

It's not a one-night-stand cause you already knew each other, and the incident doesn't end your friendship (though it does fcvk it up).

It's not a relationship cause you never date, not before, not after.

It's not a FWB cause the benefit was unintentional, and it doens't happen again.

It's definitely an accident. You didn't mean for it to have happened. You regret it a lot.

I really couldn't care less about what someone has done - it's their business. As long as by THEIR personal standards they've acted with respect, then who cares?

I've had more sex being married (twice) then I had all during my single, one night stand or online dating days... so.....

I'm a ho...

What's been going on lately, Spookie? I've missed you. :)

Absolutely effing nothing. I've missed you too. I have no internet at my apartment, that's why I haven't been posting much lately.

I'm moving to an awesome apartment in the city in 2 weeks tho. That's my only news. It's huge and spacey, in a beautiful vintage building 2 blocks from the lake. Maybe my life will stop sucking so much when I move.

Oh yah and I had another conversation with HR about Jack, which prompted no transfer but another thank-you card from upper management and another raise. lmao. Is this how people climb corporate ladders?

2 serious boyfriends- dunno the difference between serious and dead serious. dead serious is the one I'm going to marry.

The accident: it SHOULD have been a one night stand, but I was horny enough, single enough, that I called him up a bunch of times for sex. Looking back- I did nothing wrong, but I would much rather love ther person I fuc. He took advantage of me, the drunk girl- though I didn't exactly push him off me.

# people you've made out with: lots... I lost count many years ago, many boys ago.

Comments: IMO all people who sleep around outside of relationships are hoe's. A mishap here and there ain't all that bad... but it's "hoe-ish" behavior at the very least. Going further I believe there to be 2 types of hoes (man, women, whatever).

Type 1: the "bad" hoe: one who sleeps around for all the wrong reasons... to validate oneself, feel good, be wanted, confidence booster, so the opposite sex will like you... you get the idea.

Type 2: the "good" hoe: one who sleeps around becasue he/ she can (ie they are single), because they love sex, they practice safely, and have fun, they are comfortable in their own skin. Samantha (sex in the city) is the poster girl for a "good hoe".

IMO... folks.

At a certain level, well... you know. ;):lmao::lmao:

Have fun moving! :)

Since my numbers would leave you comatose from boredom, I'll dispense with them.

However, to answer the above question, I can offer my perspective. No woman I have ever been with sexually has been known to me in any substantial way prior, so the only evidence I had of 'ho-dom' was what she voluntarily offered me. The single biggest lesson I took away from this information and my subsequent relationships was that numbers do not equal skill nor passion. Also, I discovered that numbers do not matter to me. They likely do to other men, but not to me. Behavior, perspective and personality matter. IMO, there is no single impetus for sexual promiscuity or, conversely, having or seeking few sexual partners. The reasons are as manifold as each human on earth. I definitely do not sit in judgment of them.

Hope that helps :)

Ho/slut/man-whore: Having sex with the type of person you have no intention of having a relationship with, (or could not see yourself dating) on a routine bases. I don't think I'd feel comfortable dating someone who's done that many times lately but if it's in the past, I'd be happy to leave it in the past.

Comments: I had my first kiss and lost my virginity when I was 18 and in college. I definitely don't consider myself a ho, especially compared to my closest friends. In my view, if the number of partners one has had since becoming sexually active averages out to more than 4 per year, they're a ho.

It's when your sporting an erection and you happen to trip and you fall on top of and in a woman that was laying on the floor with her legs spread.. hence the accident...:)

There aren't many of those.. but I'm sure it happens..
