Saudade Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I came out of a relationship a few months ago, it was pretty rough. By chance I met someone who blew me away. He had just come out of a relationship too, so it was a perfect situation, as in both of us just dating and enjoying ourselves. Anyway we've been on 4 dates and each time we've slept together and both of us admit it's been amazing My problem is this. He doesn't text, I'll be lucky to get one a day if that and it bugs me. He texted me on sunday to say how much he liked me and wished we were together, I answer back to say 'Hi Handsome me too ' and have heard nothing back since. I will not text until he contacts me. I guess I am scared I'm being used and that its all gone too fast and he's got cold feet. Dating advice needed as I'm clearly not good at it......
Odyssey Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Mmm... Saudade i don't want to rain on your parade here, but i get the feeling this is a rebound. Are you 100% sure you've both over your ex? I don't want to see anyone get hurt, so take it real slow. Baby-steps
runner Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 as ubiquitous as it might seem, some actually don't like it for whatever reason. a friend of mine can't seem to get comfy with the interface on his phone so he doesn't use it as much as i do. and for the other thing: yes, take it slow. rebounds abound. fools rush in. etc.
Chicago_Guy Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 How old are you? I am in my early 30s and I think texting is annoying, especially when texting with someone who uses a lot of abbreviations. I'd rather talk to someone on the phone. Maybe this guy would prefer to talk on the phone but is afraid you'll think he's smothering you if he calls too often.
