Fay Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I've seen many pictures of Posh and never thought she was as attractive as everyone makes her out to be. She looks very fake too. I want to slap Beckham...he could have any woman he wants in the entire world and he picks her? That's so shallow. The fact that he could have any woman he wants obviously points at the fact that she must have SOMETHING that we lack. All women (including me) are shallow in a lot of ways. Even the hefty gals complaining about a man not seeing them for who they are and rejecting them based on body fat - they will turn catty and superficial the moment that man falls for some anorexic-looking chick. "How can he stand her? She looks like Skeletor! Blah blah blah..."
Sam Spade Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Slim/skinny is generally good, but proportions are the main thing. I.e. skinny and disfigured is just as bad by disfigured by lumps of fat . I don't think that I could be attracted to a girl that's more than, say 130 lbs (assuming average height), although they re some women that can look good way over that, just because they're healthy and well-proportionated, sophie lauren style. Sadly, most often this is not the case, they're just way too many plain fat people out there. Starving yourself to death also doesn't do much for attractiveness.
shadowplay Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 If we're going to refer to celebrities, I think Keira Knightley looks feminine but Posh doesn't. Keira's obviously naturally thin, though she probably stretches it farther by paying attention to what she eats. She looks graceful but Posh just looks bony. This is my opinion and not everyone will agree! I do think curviness can add femininity but its definitely not requisite to look feminine, if that makes sense. There can be parallel conceptions of femininity where one's lithe and the other's more soft. personally I think Keira's body is too thin and boyish looking (though her face is quite pretty). i'd prefer a figure like jessica alba or jennifer aniston.
Trialbyfire Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 In her search for facial and body perfection, which includes mountains of plastic/cosmetic surgery, Victoria Beckham has lost all the softness about her. This isn't age related. It's hardness related. I think the harder a person is within, the more it shows on their face. If you look at 30+ year old hookers and drug addicts, wear and tear reflects true on their faces. For example, Kate Moss who in the past was too skinny, IMO.

I think she's too thin as well, but her shape with an extra 8 or so pounds would look really good. Ironically, Aniston is one who strikes me as looking too thin more than Knightley, doesn't seem quite natural on her and I actually think would look better if she gained some.
MadDriver Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 AnneLynn McCord from 90210, skinny. Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl, NOT skinny. Some guys prefer the skin and bones look, others prefer having something to grab a hold off. In any cases, both women are HOT. It comes down to personal preference.
Hkizzle Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 This girl is skinny but still hot. http://www.fondosescritorio.org/images/wallpapers/alessandra-ambrosio-052-04%20%5B1600x1200%5D-856634.jpeg She would look better with more meat and not looking optimal, and any skinnier is definitely not good.

I think it's definitely age (and lifestyle) related. People lose facial fat as they age, so to compensate a woman often needs to gain a little weight. Posh can't be as skinny as she is without her face suffering. What was Catherine Deneuve's quote about a woman reaches an age where she needs to choose between her butt and her face? Posh has obviously chosen her butt. Hookers look prematurely aged because of their lifestyle: smoking, drugs, bad eating. Also the way they style themselves (very young) contrasts with their actual age after a certain point, thereby emphasizing it. In terms of hardness in personality, I only see a correlation in that people who frown a lot will tend to get frown lines, etc.

I think Jennifer Aniston has better proportions than Keira. She's thin while retaining curves and a healthy look. Keira is very thin on top but broad on bottom, which creates an odd contrast. this is just really disturbing: http://www.answerfitness.com/wp-content/uploads/keira_knightley_bikini_skinny.jpg

Hummm hot skinny brown girl, reminds me of my Mexican ex...

shadowplay Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Posh used to be attractive but she has lost too much weight now. http://dlisted.com/node/33408/images/FP_3405681_Beckham_Victoria.jpg Allegra, well that is just sad. She is anorexic, and I do not think she is a 'trendorexic' either. She has some serious problems. I feel bad for her. Those cheekbone implants are horrible and make her look even older. Why do people do that to themselves? I often wonder isn't there anyone (like a friend) who has them step aside and say "you really need to stop this. it doesn't look good."
shadowplay Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I won't deny that Keira has an imperfect figure and needs to gain weight, but I definitely would nt call Aniston curvy. Whatever you want to call her she has a remarkably well proportioned figure http://www.entertainmentwise.com/photos/Image/JENBODYSECRETS430.jpg

She did have one phase where she was too sinewy. Overall, I find healthy, natural looking figures look good and starved ones don't.
shadowplay Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 She does look good there, I'll give you that. She did have one phase where she was too sinewy. yeah, i think i know what you're talking about. her body looks just about perfect to me now. it's amazing that she's been able to retain that figure at 40.
hotgurl Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 body type wise I think scarlett johansson is very pretty. my husband likes jennifer connelly
Touche Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I think Jennifer Aniston has better proportions than Keira. She's thin while retaining curves and a healthy look. I didn't think she was disturbing. I'm considered skinny (have been my whole life) and some men love that. I admit I've always wished I weighed more but this is my body and I accept it as much as I can. I'm fuller in the bust, waist and hips than keira but my arms and legs are maybe slimmer than hers. So I guess my body might be considered an "odd contrast." (Think of Mr. Peanut! LOL!) But as long as my H finds me sexy I'm ok with it I guess. Also, not too many women my age still wear the same size pretty much that they did in high school and college. My small frame actually makes me look younger.
Isolde Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I think Keira looks fine, being thin but not sinewy, and most likely will fill out a tad with age. It doesn't look to me like she works out or diets excessively because her face generally looks filled out and healthy. Perhaps that is misleading, who knows--but I think she looks fine, especially considering her age. I'm also in my early twenties, and this is a time when many young women are the thinnest they'll ever be.

She's only 35 but looks far older. While AJ has retained her looks, she's another one who has aged prematurely. In terms of hardness in personality, I only see a correlation in that people who frown a lot will tend to get frown lines, etc.Not just frowning, but for women, you can see it in the jawline from clenching. It's difficult to explain but I know it when I see it.

Touche Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 ( Who is AJ?) And Tbf, you're cracking me up with that avvy! Yes, I remember. ) Isolde, I agreed with your post. Yep.

Keira kind of has a pear shape, so I suspect part of the reason she keeps herself so thin is because the weight goes right to her hips. I just find her skinniness combined with the defined six pack a little disturbing.

Isolde Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Well, I don't feel like nitpicking about who works out more, based on one pic of a bunch of celebrities. I think getting back to the original point, all these actresses are skinny to slender, and most women can't necessarily be that thin and wouldn't look good that thin. It's all about body type and frame.
Trialbyfire Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Even with PS they both look old for their age.I think they both look like they're in their forties, which is a shame.
