supgorgeous Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I started dating this great guy 3 months after ending a 3+ year relationship. I didn't plan on dating anyone exclusively so soon, but it just seemed to work. I was a total smitten kitten, and I couldn't wait for him to tell me he loved me, wanted to marry me, blah blah blah. We had only been dating for a month and a half when I found out I was pregnant. [keep in mind, I was on birthcontrol, and we were using other protection.] At first we were both freaked out, but decided to keep the baby. Things were moving pretty quick, and everything seemed perfect. That was until he said it, "i love you", that is. As soon as he said it I didn't know if I was ready to hear it yet. Now we've been together 9 months, we live together, and he's moving 2 hours away. He wants me to go with him, and I've decided after I deliver I will. He occasionally let's those 3 little words slip out, and to this day I've never replied with the "i love you, too." Is this weird? I feel like I'm in love with him, but I can't make myself say it. I'm so confused by it, I don't understand it myself.

Some people have a hard time expressing their feelings for whatever reason. If you feel you are in love, you probably should just tell him. I don't think you are SURE you love him or you would tell him. Maybe you feel once you say it, you are obligated to stay with him and move with him. After nine months, he is going to start wondering what is going on though. Maybe it was a little too much for you to process, going from a LTR to this, and that is what is causing confusion as well.
