brazilian4285 Posted November 16, 2003 Posted November 16, 2003 My girlfriend's dad was an alcoholic. He spent most of her life in jail due to alcohol and drug abuse. He has been out for a year or so and she seems so happy to have him back. But in the last 4 days she hasnt talked or seen him. Which she thinks hes back to drinking. What should i do? She came over tonight and cried for an hour and i didnt know what to say to her. I feel so powerless, i hate this feeling! Im supposed to help her but I cant tell her i know how she feels cause i dont. She means so much to me but i just dont know how to approach her. Shes the type when shes crying or upset she likes to be alone. So i cant just go up to her and try to make her smile because it doesnt work... Is there a way around it?
