We were our firsts loves of 3 years (were 25), mutual break up.

But since we didnt work out + long distance coming up, she told me she's desperately trying to get over me, and move on (already started dating, and likes him a lot).

Im happy for her, and im moving on. But when a girl says that, does it mean she has no affinity or feelings left? Or does it mean she's trying to surpress them in order to get on with her life?

Do the feelings usually go away very quickly? I know she was devastated before she met this guy.

Im not sure but, if i said that it would mean feelings are there still but i have decided it is time to move on for whatever reason... And the reason would be a strong one, not sure that anything would beable to change my mind, unless i myself thought it was a mistake...

My ex treated me badly but i loved him so much.. I thought he was just young and when he matured he would stop doing the selfish, stupid things that always end up hurting me... But once i decided it was done. That was it... I loved him and i cared for him but i knew in my heart it was over and i was fully set on getting over him no matter what he did to try to change my mind

I had reasons to do that which were directly related to his personality thou so there might be hope for you... but if she is putting all her effort in moving on, the hope is slim..
