PhantomSunrise Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Whenever people tell me things like "You'll meet someone better" or "You will stop hurting eventually, you'll get over them" or "You're better than them" and "You're better off" ALL I think about is someone giving this EXACT same advice to my ex. I can't let anyones advice in, because all I think of, is that my ex is getting the same advice.. Thankfully after many months I have moved on a bit... but still, whenever I see people even giving each other advice about breakups, I just think that someone is giving their ex's that same advice, and same with my ex too.
greenparrot Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 true, but for me it helps since I want to get better for myself, I cant keep digging a hole and live for someone else. I have learned that, and even though I know my ex isnt receiving those words since she is already with someone else, if she were I know I have made a lasting impression in her life. But part of moving on is caring less what she is thinking / doing. I hope her well.
