How long before I email him...don't want to seem pushy

Hi all,

So I had a random encounter with a guy at a copy store. I was a basket case when I realized that I had forgotten something at the store (my flashdrive with lots of my work on it), and I had returned to the place in near tears. As I was leaving the store bemoaning the loss of weeks of work, a guy asked if he'd overheard me correctly, if indeed I'd actually lost my flashdrive with my dissertation on it. Long story short, we ended up chatting for 10 minutes or so in the parking lot. I was in such a panic about my lost info that I barely took notice of how cute he was until he asked if he could contact me. I lamely gave him my email address (not on paper). We drove off. Now I realize that he'll likely not actually remember my email address or spell my name wrong. So here's my question: if I can find a way to contact him--he told me where he works--would it be weird if I contacted him in a few days time? I thought I'd see if he actually does remember, and then email him in like 3 days. Does that seem pushy? I don't want to come across as a weird chick, but he did ask how he could contact me. Thoughts? I had a good feeling about this guy. And he had a great smile. And I could use nice, normal, decent interaction at this point.

Advice needed, especially from you guys out there.

Sometimes a guy will make a proposition (ask you out or for your contact details) on the spur of the moment because it's part of the thrill of the chase. If he doesn't contact you, there's no way to know whether he misremembered your email address or whether he had second thoughts (e.g. he might be in a relationship already). I think there is no harm in sending him an email if you can track down his email address - in the 21st century, I don't think it's in any way unseemly.

I get the whole "thrill of the chase" theory. But this guy was educated, and frankly, he seemed genuinely interested. Granted, I'm new to tjhis whole dating/flirting/signals life, so thank you, RA for your help. Anyone else?
