They won't believe you! They've got to learn on their own!

Drum this into your head Everytime you speak to them they are going to get more and more nasty and hurtful, to the point where that hurts even more than NC! (Take it from someone who has been there, to the point where I was told "I don't think I even know what love is anymore, because I haven't felt that way about you in years" given we had set the date to marry a few weeks before it's BS, but my God it hurt!) This one is hard to hear- They don't care about you right now, each time you call, you are like an annoying insect to them, they are in the narcissistic fog of pure selfishness. Just hope for the day to come where the tables are turned and they want you back but you no longer want them anymore!
tojaz Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Look at my thread backslides to see a few tidbits of the hurt walk aways throw at you. Nc's hard, and it hurts, but it will protect you from worse hurt in the long run. Your going to slip, everyone does, just remember the result. While that little bit of contact feels good for awhile, you just fall deeper when you do fall. LIVED IT!!! TOJAZ
