Ilovecake Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Sorry if there is a spot on these forums that already has this but I could not find it. Can you guys list some self help books you read that have helped you with the healing process? I've just started reading a few and I find the more humorous ones are a lot better at giving me perspective. I liked: It’s Called a Breakup Because It’s Broken The Smart Girl's Break-Up Buddy By Greg Behrendt Bittergirl: Getting Over Getting Dumped By Alison Lawrence, Annabel Griffiths, Mary Francis Moore This one was OK but pretty much stuff we all already know.
soheartbroken Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I'm reading "Journey from Abandonment to Healing", by Anderson. It is NOT humorous though. It has some science (e.g. the way your body reacts to abandonment) and some "inner child" stuff. I read it mostly to validate how I'm feeling; that is, that everyone who is left feels like this and there are reasons for it.
Author Ilovecake Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 That sounds interesting. I'll look into it. Thank you
