When I say I look young I truly mean it. I turn 30 in a few months, but people routinely guess I am around 20-22. I am not short, but I have a thin frame/build. Personally, I think it puts me in a very awkward position, especially in a professional setting. Even dressed as a professional, those who work under me routinely second guess me and question me because they "think" I am too young to know what I am talking about. My patients give me the wary eye because I look "too young" to have graduated. I've had more than one supervisor ask me how I put up with it all the time because literally, I get 9 to 10 "OMG you are soooooooooooooooo young" comments on any given day. grrrrrrrrrrr...............

Last week at the bar, I had to produce FOUR forms of ID before the cop actually believed I was 29 (thank god I wasn't out on a date.)

And in terms of men. I am typically interested in old guys, say 35+ age range. BUT they won't give me the time of day because they assume I am 21/22. Once I open my mouth and start talking they start giving me funny looks and ask how old I am because I act like I"m 30. The last guy I went out with only met me briefly and ask for my number. Later he called to cancel because he decided I was too young (he thought i was 22.) When I told him how old I was, it was fine, but still, I was annoyed.

Now I'm thinking about dating a young guy (23) but people STILL think I am younger than he is.

I blame sunscreen. I started wearing it every day when I was about 12, and I think it has done wonders for my skin.

I've been told I look younger than my age. Whatever it is, I can't wait to get to 30! :bunny:

Oh no, I am aging. That's for sure. It's the fact that they "think" I am that young. That was more or less the point.

And the song is "17".... lol.

And no, she didn't get my number. Sheesh Jersey, give the 'old man' some credit. muah!

Okay so you are rather insecure about your own aging. You have spent alot of focus lately on how young you look and how someone underage thinking your young is flattering. You won't admit it I am sure but it's clear that you have some insecurity over being thought of as infact the age you are.

I think everyone hates aging. But like death and taxes (or sex with Kobe Bryant), you can try and stop it.... but .... it's gonna happen. (LOL -- ohhh bad me with the Kobe joke).

Yes, I think it's flattering. It's more or less to point out when I posted the picture that people felt I really did look 35-40 but in person, nobody thinks that. So it's not just me imagining I look younger.

Cheers :)

I think most guys 40+ are flattered if a women in their 20's finds them attractive. It makes you feel good about yourself even if you wouldn't take it any farther with them. Women as well enjoy a young guys interest so it isn't just male gender based. It comes down to self esteem and options, more options increases your esteem.

Well it IS kind of flattering that this cute 23 yo also thinks I'm cute. lol Eh, whatever, it's just a number. And my friends get a kick out of calling him Jail Bait and me Craddle Robber. At least we have fun with it. :)

I hate the idea that I'm 27, mentally I'm still 22-24 lol! I act young! I don't dislike how I look though.

Please tell me I look young lol! Hopefully my being a brownie will enable me to stay young-looking.

And no, there's nothing wrong with looking 30 if you're 30, as long as you're happy with how you look.

You look cute but you look over 25 to me. I'm dating a nice 26 year old though so I'm not saying it's a bad thing. She's a 'brownie' also, her family is in the Philippines.

My girl says "I'm getting old na" too, but late 20s is a really nice age for single women I think. Don't worry about that so much. BTW, may I know what your genetic background is? You look sort of South East Asian to me.

I can't tell which one you are, but both look about the same age: anywhere from 24 to 28.

Same here... I wear sunscreen every day, I'm the same age as you and I also regularly get mistaken for being in my early 20s. I guess sunscreen does help to avoid ageing!
