Lovin a scrapper Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 We took the girls to the airport yesterday for their flight back to Oregon and I missed them immediately. Her girls and I bonded from the first minute and I gotta tell you that I loved it. We had a fantastic weekend together. We went to Oklahoma City and spent the weekend there with my kids and a few of their friends. They wanted to see the Oklahoma City Memorial and then we headed to an amusement park for the rest of the day. Got back to the room and we all hit the pool since it was pretty hot at the park. Then we all kicked back in the room and talked for hours. It may not sound exciting to some but to me and Rayette is was utopia to have all of our kids in one place having fun with each other. We then headed back here to Kansas and chilled. Did a little grillin and relaxed with some movies. Ill update the last part of her visit on Tuesday after she leaves. I love you all!!!!!
SophieA Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 YAY! I am SO happy that you had/are having a wonderful time. It's wonderful that your families blend so well together! I know I speak for all of us when I say we're soooooo happy for you!
quankanne Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Then we all kicked back in the room and talked for hours. to me, this sounds like the crowning moment of a great vacation – sounds geeky, yeah, but as i get older, I've come to realize that it's all about communication and relating with others, not what "fun" stuff you can do or offer. and I'm glad you've discovered this too with all y'alls kiddos!
Bearandsue Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 so so happy for you scrapper. There is nothing more "exciting" than having those moments just hanging out with your family. I so long for those moments again. Have a great time with those last day of your visit:love::bunny::bunny:
