Thaddeus Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 WTF?! I can't decide which of these two 'desirable attributes' is more ridiculous What about it is so hard to understand? I won't bring the poison of the office into the peace of my home. I expect that if she's got a PMS issue, she won't spend the day(s) barking incessantly at me or flying into a crying jag because the toast is too dark. (I lived with a woman like that... never, ever again.) As for the 'knowing when to stay quiet' bit, I can see how that might be misinterpreted. Point is, once a discussion has been resolved to mutual satisfaction, I simply see no point in going over it again and again and again. Fix the problem, then move forward in peace and with love. You may find that ridiculous, and that's absolutely your prerogative. By the way, what's on your list of 'desirable attributes'?
Trialbyfire Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 moffy, worry less about what the generic man wants and more about what you want out of life, a relationship and a mate. Once you've figured those priorities out, then it's time to see if you can find a man who fits into your life.
Citizen Drawn Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Ok, I'll just run this list against my girlfriend a lady in public, a maid in the living room, a cook in the kitchen and a whore in the bedroom'. LOL, no, that just sounds degrading. intellect -yeah, but artsy intellect i'd call it - a good conversationalist - about things she's interested in a good sense of humour - oh yeah would have to have one modesty - yeah unselfishness - ha ha sometimes loyalty - big yeah kindness - apart from when she's being mean low maintenance - lol you mean not a princess? yes. sincere - yeah dependable - seems that way understanding - yeah non-materialistic - well yeah, but still likes nice shiny things confident - sometimes optimistic - sometimes... instead, one quality seems to rule above all others, yet it's rarely mentioned: independence. Yeah she's independent but that doesn't take precedence over the rest - just another cool thing The women who do seem to be able to keep a boyfriend rarely have time for one. They make their boyfriends do all the running, constantly say they're too busy to see them, make their boyfriend pay for everything, and scold them like a child for doing the slightest thing wrong. As a result, these guys spend a lot of time with their mates complaining about their girlfriends. Ha ha ha ha ha if she was any of those things - you must be joking.
