Btw Ikjh, just to make sure we understand each other. You said I should just give my advice and that's that, right?....how is the above statement an advice to OP?:rolleyes::rolleyes:! You are too silly for words.

and how was that advice?

I cheated 2 weeks ago on my boyfriend of 4 years, with an ex that I used to see off and on before me and said boyfriend got together. Ex contacted me and I cheated on my boyfriend.... unprotected and now my period is LATE.

I don't know what to do.. what if I am pregnant?

then tell your bf, break up with him, have the baby, and put it up for adoption IF you don't want the baby.

but most importantly, break up with your bf.

Posted
Well, last night was interesting.. sitting there with my boyfriend and ex.. ackward, really. I dug my grave and I shall lay. Anyway it wasn't great, at one point I thought my ex was going to beat the **** out of my boyfriend

oooh...mr tough guy

(He was calling me a whore and was pretty upset and I guess it upset my ex..?)

well, I'd like to be seen as having more class than that, but with what you are putting him through, can you blame him for being angry and calling you that? like I said, it wouldn't be for me, but I can understand where he is coming from.

My boyfriend decided that he does want to find out if the baby is his before the baby is born. He said he will stay with me if it is his, but then I have my ex saying he wants to be with me either way. I love my boyfriend but I'm not so sure I am in love with him. I never got over my ex and I can only assume thats what came over me.

well then what are you waiting for? do your so-called bf a favor and break up with him. he deserves better and needs to start the process of moving on with his life.

then you and your X can get together, and live happily ever after:rolleyes:

Otherwise, I have never cheated on someone in my life. Anyway, now I guess I have to figure out which man is the father of my baby and go from there? I almost feel like I'd rather be with my ex but who knows if that will even work out?

who cares if it would work out with your X?....that isn't your current boyfriend's problem. set your bf free

Really? so you are calling her a whore? why is that? do you actually know if she had casual sex with several men and was paid for it?

maybe you need to look up the definition. try Merriam Websters definition of the word. #3 on the list is "a venal or UNSCRUPULOUS person".

it doesn't have to be about money.

I see, so this is a thinly veiled attempt to ACTUALLY call me out...LOL!!!! I do not need to pretend. I know why I had an affair. My H knows why I cheated. A marriage vow is a commitment of the heart. I did not break any vows.

nice try, you broke the vow of "forsaking all others"

Oops....forgot that one didn't we?

Actually a definition of whore is "3 : a venal or unscrupulous person". I'm sure thats what the boyfriend was referring to.

dammit Bueng, didn't see you beat me to it

Forget? absolutely not. My H broke the vows...from that day forward the vows were done with. The partnership to raise a child was intact, the "marriage" really was over. ;)

You are reaching, Dexter.....:p:p:p!

LOL....like I said....it's the tertiary definition....pathetic excuse, but whatever<shrug>! I am sure in the BF's rage that was what he was thinking, "venal and unscrupulous"...riiiight~~~~:rolleyes::rolleyes:!

Last time I checked venal meant to sell ones services for sordid purposes - so even with the tertiary definition money is in there somewhere.

However in my dictionary (Concise Oxford) there is no mention of the word venal in the meaning of "whore" however it does say it is someone who fornicates. Fornicate just means sex outside marriage. So where I come from somebody who is married who has sex outside marriage can be correctly described as a whore. No necessity for there to be multiple partners or money to change hands.

Sidlyon, can you give us the exact source of your definition, because I looked at Oxford and this is the meaning I found:

"noun derogatory a prostitute or promiscuous woman."

OP is neither a prostitute nor a promiscuous woman.

However, I would bet that many of us posters have fornicated in the past or are fornicating....lets see how Oxford defines it:

"verb have sexual intercourse with someone one is not married to."

:p...so how many lovers have you had, Sidlyon? Did you marry all of them before sleeping with them?

I would take a wild guess and say yes, you have had sex outside of marraige (when you were single), right? Oh wait...better yet, weren't you an OW? So using your definition...you were also a whore.

promiscuous is having casual or random sex with someone that you are not in a relationship with. The OP did just that and got pregnant, so she is promiscuous

How do you know this was "casual and random"? She has always had deep feelings for this man...he is not some random guy she picked up from a bar. It is blatantly obvious you want to symbolically stone this woman. Again, give it up, didn't you lose your argument already with me many posts ago?

Promiscuous (from Dictionary.com)

1. characterized by or involving indiscriminate mingling or association, esp. having sexual relations with a number of partners on a casual basis.

What's your source?

Oh for goodness sake Tami - why do you feel it's OK to ask me if I'm a whore? Implying something under the guise of asking a question is quite offensive you know - it's a technique you use a lot.

It isn't my definition and I've called nobody a whore not even you. I have a concise Oxford dictionary in which the 1st definition includes prostitute and fornicator as alternatives. Why do you feel justified in insulting people just for contributing to a topic that you have perpetrated even if it wasn't the OP's original question.

For the record I've never been an OW.

You posted on a running thread where the discussion has now gone on to the use of the word WHORE....you put in your two cents....I am just using the definition you picked out (one that fit YOUR agenda) and use it to you...see if you like it and I am right...you don't.

So let me ask you something...how is it that now that it is applied to you, you are offended by it?

I perpetuated?....I did NOT call OP a whore...neither did I echo her BF calling her a whore. Read up..I think your "buddies" did that. How about you tell them to refrain from "insulting" the OP, huh?

For the record I've never been an OW.

I apologize. You were a wayward partner-still you had sex with someone not your H, right?

Look, I do not think you are a whore (not that it matters to you what I think about )---not even close...but c'mon...be fair or at least try.

Perhaps you should consider taking you own advice.

hahahahahaha, are you trying to be funny now? She was in a relationship with someone else that she loves and she had sex with a guy that she wasn't in a relationship with. She got pregnant from a guy that wasn't her bf while she had a boyfriend. That is being promiscuous(no matter what kind of feelings she has).

Once again you refuse to allow other people to have opinions different than yours because your life is so pathetic that this(fantasy world) is all you have. You do relaize that you have argued with everyone on this thread but somehow you believe that we are in some kind of battle and the crazy part is that you believe you are winning.

You are even going after sidlyon because he gave a more precise definition of the word whore. Clearly we have 5 or 6 people that disagree with you and you have nothing better to do than sit here and hope someone acknowledges you on these threads.

So, lets leave it here. I think what she did is wrong and you think it was fine and dandy.

By the way people are aloud to use words that don't fit there exact meaning. We call people all types of words from pimp to dork and they never match there "dictionary" meaning. But guess what, that is called common language.

tami wrote "venal AND unscrupulous". She threw the "and" in there.

The definition is "venal OR unscrupulous person" Being unscrupulous doesn't have to involve money

but hey, anyone can read from it what they want. So if being unscrupulous means you can be labeled a "wh0re", works for me. :)

With SidLyon's definition of whore, the only way a woman can not be labeled whore is by being a virgin/chaste or only having sex with a man they know they are in a relationship with. This excludes any ONS's, NSA's and first date hook-ups that never lead to anything more. There are probably a few more scenario's.

By that definition there sure are a lot of whore's out there. And quite a few on Loveshack.

It's really sad that a child will have to be brought up in this situation. He or she did not ask to be born into this but that is what will happen. I hope for your BF's sake that it is not his so he can move on with his life.

I don't think so. I don't think there is anything unscrupulous about having sex with people before marriage. As long as you aren't hurting or betraying someone in the process.

They are unscrupulous when cheating. they are doing someone else terribly wrong. people with scruples just don't do that.

To be unscrupulous there has to be a notion that "wrong" is being done. And I think everyone can agree that cheating is wrong. And if they don't think cheating is wrong, well geez, nuff said about that person.

Just wanted to add that this includes faithfully married women. They weren't always married. And how many women on these forums openly state they're not in relationships but want to go out and get laid. Definition applies.

But are you going to call them that?
