I spent my break helping my colleague with some of his college work. Gosh, it only seems like five minutes ago that I was at college, and here I am in my 30s!" "The guys here were telling me about this wild party they had last weekend. Hearing about their antics makes me feel so old, haha... would you believe I'm 32?" "I started reading this book by Dickens. I haven't read Dickens since I was at school, and I left school fourteen years ago! I'm really enjoying the book, I recommend it if you have the time to read it" ... and so on. Make up something convincing. If he still doesn't ask you out, I'd be inclined to ask him out!

I found out only because I did one of those free people searches to see if I could find out. A girl that used to work with us had a crush on him (she was 18) so I was doing her a favor- but this was a couple of years ago. Not the I would date him if I could kind of crush... the awww isn't he cute I just want to look at him all day kind of crush. Thorton... those senarios are nothing that would ever come out of my mouth. I am more of the - I hope you don't think this terribly rude, but how old are you? I was trying to guess, but I am an awful judge of age because I know I don't look 32 but I am. Is it rude to ask a guy his age?

If you ask out of the blue, then it's not terrific. If he's a friend, then no big deal. What Thornton suggested about coming up with stories to let him know your age is a better idea.

I hear a lot of people in their 30s saying they look 22, 23, 24, which is really not that uncommon. Most people who are 30 shouldn't look that old anyway

Most people who are 30 shouldn't look that old anyway It's not that there is a problem with them looking 30, it's that women my age would look like cougars dating me. The best choice for me is to find someone who is in their mid-late 20s or someone closer to my age who is also youthful looking.

Maybe all sorts of people I guess.. but still. What does he buy when he comes in?
