HeadlessZebra Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 In this thread: Histrionic Personality Disorders and Borderline Personality Disorders run amuck. Hey, I'm a little Borderline. What are you trying to say??
Starshine Black Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Are you really, Headless? Are you self diagnosing, or has someone licensed actually told you you have it? (Or some degree of it)
HeadlessZebra Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Are you really, Headless? Are you self diagnosing, or has someone licensed actually told you you have it? (Or some degree of it) Yes, three licensed shrinks told me. Though that was years ago. I've grown out of 99% of the textbook behavior, but there are residual tendencies.
Starshine Black Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Was that the only Axis II disorder they said you had? Borderline P.D.? Did you grow out of it on your own, or did they assist you? My first girlfriend had Borderline Personality Disorder. She was a cutter, extremely emotional, etc. But after all, Cluster B disorders are categorized by their overly emotional and irrational behavior.
SoulSearch_CO Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 In this thread: Histrionic Personality Disorders and Borderline Personality Disorders run amuck. *ahem* It's "amok," but I was wondering if you were offering free diagnoses.
Starshine Black Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 *ahem* It's "amok," but I was wondering if you were offering free diagnoses. Sure can. I've seen your posting history, and you appear to be suffering from self esteem issues.
dreamergrl Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Sure can. I've seen your posting history, and you appear to be suffering from self esteem issues. You seem to be suffering from multiple personality disorder... oh wait, you're the same all the time, you just can't remember your name.
dreamergrl Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Hmmmm seeing how as alonedepressed/browneyed/starshine is now offering psych evaluations... anyone think that maybe it's thomas
MSUE Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Hmmmm seeing how as alonedepressed/browneyed/starshine is now offering psych evaluations... anyone think that maybe it's thomas who's thomas?
SoulSearch_CO Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Sure can. I've seen your posting history, and you appear to be suffering from self esteem issues. That's it? That's as deep as the diagnosis goes? Anybody could see that much - I stated as much in a post TODAY, as a matter of fact. That's not very intuitive. I'm a little disappointed.
SoulSearch_CO Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Hmmmm seeing how as alonedepressed/browneyed/starshine is now offering psych evaluations... anyone think that maybe it's thomas I'm damn sure that Starshine is not psycho-chick.
dreamergrl Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I'm damn sure that Starshine is not psycho-chick. You don't think so? She's replied to every one of these freaking threads.
Starshine Black Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I am a guy. But soulsearch, I would be happy to actually help you if you would really want advice. I can offer positive psychological advice. And who is thomas? he's a professional model who loves pretending to be arrogant. and he is going for a phd in psychology. He's currently suspended for offering his email to someone in need who needed in depth personal advice, but couldn't PM on this site. Gee, I wish i were him.;);)

I kind of had that thought - but I was positive it was not the crazy chick. Unless crazy chick is one of his personalities. Yeah, well - what kind of "help" are you offering, doc?

Thomas showed up .. well DSM or whatever... Alone was right behind him....
HeadlessZebra Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Was that the only Axis II disorder they said you had? Borderline P.D.? Did you grow out of it on your own, or did they assist you? My first girlfriend had Borderline Personality Disorder. She was a cutter, extremely emotional, etc. But after all, Cluster B disorders are categorized by their overly emotional and irrational behavior. Yes, the only axis II. Axis I they had me pegged with major depression a few years ago, and before that, in my early teens, Bipolar II. Lost of shrinks afterward have reneged on that particular diagnosis, and I've come to believe my original shrink was trying to get money out of my parents. I have never been a cutter, BTW, or any other kind of physical self-harmer. I'm quite well-versed in the DSM-IV myself.
Starshine Black Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 dreamer leave your assumptions that you can't back up, to yourself. Really, they're worth nothing here. Your petty insults are little more than laughable. Soulsearch, I can offer any help that you feel you need. You can start by telling me what's bothering you, and we can go from there. And headless, I see you are intelligent.. but why exactly did they peg you with Borderline? What were your symptoms? And bipolar 2 you say? The medium bipolar. That's not so bad
SoulSearch_CO Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Soulsearch, I can offer any help that you feel you need. You can start by telling me what's bothering you, and we can go from there. :lmao: Where's the couch, dude?
Starshine Black Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 You'll have to settle for the armchair you're at. So go ahead. Tell me what you don't like about yourself.
SoulSearch_CO Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 :lmao: I guess it could start with the fact that I don't have a penis. And my name is not Thomas. And I'm not a model. And I'm not well-versed in the DSM-IV. Wouldn't those be enough for anybody?
Starshine Black Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 And a faulty sense of humor that's out of touch with reality that only you laugh at? (or one of the same followers)? Well, I guess you laughing at your own jokes is better than pure silence, right?
HeadlessZebra Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Did you grow out of it on your own, or did they assist you? Grew out of it on my own. Mostly grew out of it, anyway . My childhood was rough/chaotic so that might have had something to do with the lingering borderline tendencies, but as I've matured I've learned normal thought patterns, though I'm still a bit overemotional and impulsive. Shrinks have hardly ever done jack for me, so I don't bother with them. I've been smart enough to heal myself and am still coming closer to my ultimate goal of total mental health. And headless, I see you are intelligent.. but why exactly did they peg you with Borderline? What were your symptoms? And bipolar 2 you say? The medium bipolar. That's not so bad Originally had these BPD symptoms in my teens/very early 20s: -Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment -A pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation -Identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self -Impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g., spending, sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating) -Recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilating behavior -Affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days) Now I'm just left with slightly unstable/intense interpersonal relationships, slight over-reactivity of mood, and occasional suicidal ideations. Nothing serious, though. The Bipolar II? Like I told you, subsequent shrinks have told me it's B.S. and that it was my BPD masquerading as mood swings. I never actually had a hypomanic upswing, so that precludes the possibility of Bipolar. There, now all of LS knows how crazy I really am.
dreamergrl Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 There, now all of LS knows how crazy I really am. Trust me... there's far more crazier on here then you
