moonbeam125 Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Alright, so I finally gave up on the younger guy because he clearly wasn't interested despite what I interpreted as "mixed signals". So now I'm trying online dating to see what other options are out there. I've decided to take a step back and to let the guy do all the initiating (as I was always the initiator in the past and it didn't work for me). Now I'm a bit confused with the online dating scene and people's appropriate levels of interest. I had my first meeting/date and I thought things went pretty well considering we were able to keep a conversation going for about 2 hours. We parted ways, but there was no mention of calling or plans for future dates. He does text me later that evening to thank me for coming and for what a great time he had...I respond saying that we should do it again and he responds positively, but with no actual plan for a future meeting. He texts me again the following day referring to something that was discussed in our conversation, and that was it so far. In your opinion, is it normal to express some sort of interest but to not make future plans during or right after a date, or am I just being impatient? On one hand, I like this laid back approach but am wondering if I'm just getting friendzoned...
