What are women's thoughts on guys wearing cologne? I'm not talking about the guys who bathe in the cheap stuff (I'm assuming that's an instant no good), but nicely applied good stuff.

If you like cologne, any suggestion of good ones?

Posted

Definitely yes .

To suggest any ?

Enter the store and smell all kinds,

with one of them you will click .

Choose that one .

Let your intuition work .

No suggestions in the world of aromas . It is so individual .

I love when a guy wears cologne, something about it makes a man more desirable to me.

I looove a sweet, discreet cologne smell on a man.. but if I were you, I would go to the nearest countner (perfume store) and try different kinds on you... or ask for 'samples'..

I love a good cologne on men. It depends though, some smell better on some men than others. I agree try several to see which one you like. Nothing like coming home with a mans cologne on you.. ahhhh. anyway , I digress.. good luck.

It's a must.

No one can recommend a scent for you though. You have to go to the store and try some on. Usually you smell a few, pick one you think you like most, try it on, then smell it on yourself in about a half hour to see if you like the scent on you. Then either go back and buy it or try another one.

An absolute must as long as it's a good one...

I like it a lot, but not on a daily basis. Sometimes a good soap or aftershave is enough fragrance.

It's the same for ladies... I feel like full on perfume every day is a bit overbearing, better to use a strongly scented lotion, shower gel or spray for everyday purposes.

A must. If you don't know where to start, check out cologne ads (in magazines/online) that relate to your personality. Then test them out in person to see if you like the scent & if they work well with your chemistry.

Sometimes a reaaally good cologne properly/cleverly applied, can seal the deal (on sexual attraction) ...;)

I LOVE a good cologne on a guy. Very sexy. I can't pick one for the broad populace because different smells are going to interact with different body chemistries. Just try them on. I agree with the person that said to use your intuition.

Gotta love a guy that smells good! YUM!

I don't think I've ever smelled a cologne I didn't like.

You should...to cologne! Take a female friend cologne shopping with you so she can give you her opinion. :)

Mizzunderstood touched on it, but colognes really work well when the persons pheramones are kicking in.

Colognes are supposed to get off a smell when the applied area gets warm. Also when this applied area gets warm, the persons pheramones are given off. When the two are mixed and a girl smells them then she is instantly attracted, as long as that pheramone is what infatuates that certain girl.

So yes, a cologne is a must.

definitely VICTORIA SECRET FUJI APPLE . . . the most expensive and the most effective...
Psssttt...he's a boy and most boys don't wear female scents.

Cologne is always nice.

I recommend Pi by Givenchy. Yum! It's dark, sweet-ish and slightly spicy. Mysterious, and simultaneously carnal and cerebral. Reminds some people faintly of baked goods. Can't go wrong with that.

I absolutely love it.

This is interesting, I didn't realize it was such a "must" to so many. Personally, I can't remember the last time I've worn the stuff.

Cologne a must? What has happened to the men of this world? Why the f*** are you asking a female what you should do? DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO AND STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF MAN FOR GOD F***ing sakes! You look to a female for answers and this is what you'll get...what they think makes a man...cologne...maybe I'm a dying breed but last I checked a man never NEEDED approval of a woman to be who he is. He only needed HIS OWN f***ing approval.

A man's scent - ie cologne - plays a HUGE role in sexual attraction for me, and for many women. When a guy wears a cologne really well, it will instantly turn me on.

When I am looking for a new scent or have smelled something nice on someone else...smelling them at a counter just doesnt work for me.

My nose gets confused, I get a headache, yuck. PLUS...just because I like the smell of something , even on someone else, doesnt mean it will smell good on me.

Go to the counters and get samples to take home. Try each one for a couple of days on yourself and see what you like best...or what the women around you compliment you on.

A man's scent , should not be able to be smelled unless you are right next to him.

Scent triggers so many things in me that like a man to have one I like.

If my wife smelled like a "with the works" pizza, she wouldn't be able to keep me off her.

Don't say I didn't warn you OP, when you wake up one day and you're wearing pink froofroos because a woman told you she likes it you'll wonder where your manhood went.
