Sup,

My little brother who is 13 is goin out with this girl who i think is 13, i dont know maybe younger. Anyway he came up to me and asked what i thought about his situation and i didnt have an answer for him really.

He said that his girlfriend told him how much she loves this new kid who is puttin out music. Justin he said the name was. I guess he is like some popular kid gettin a record deal with timberlake and ne yo or something like that.

She said that she really likes him and that she would leave my bro for him if she had a chance. He is really upset now, but he just played it off as a "oh cool, whatever" scenario.

I told him to leave her if she is gonna act like that, but he said she didnt mean it. I asked him if she was showing any type of real affection towards this guy and he said that she has his song on her myspace and pics on her profile. He is worried, and i think this chick is wack.

What do you guys think? its probably just a fling for this girl, but my bro doesnt want to leave her and he is bein all down about it. What should i tell him?

he's 13.......?

jeesh......

Tell him he has approximately 70 years ahead of him - does he see himself in retirement with her?

if not, tell him to stop stressing.

At his age, it's really not all that big a deal........

Haha, well yeah. But he is 13, and that is when the hormones fly.

I dont think he is more stressing or just wondering why she would do that to him. Its weird for him i guess

I don't know how much older than him you are, but it might help to sit down with him and have a bit of a 'man-talk'.... you know, tell him about how weird girls are (She's hormonal too, right?) and about how at his age, it's all just about finding your way, experimenting and NOT doing dumb things, and just enjoying life.....

help him a little.

Give him an anchor point to refer to, and be there for him if he just needs reassurance and stuff.

In all seriousness, it's what he experiences now that will make him a great guy - or a jerk - when he gets older.

It would be nice if in future you will both say, "my brother's a great guy!" as opposed to "my brother's a jerk"..... wouldn't it?

Hmm, I thought this thread was going to be about impotence issues.....

Well, at that age the person you like seems to mean the entire world. Older people generally have more control. Tell him that there are plenty of girls out there, and if it doesn't work out there's someone better out there for him.
