ExiledLyCan Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Recently i've found out that my gf lies to me quite alot, although they arent big lies and they arent too serious either, however i feel that she doesnt need to lie to me about such things and can tell me the truth instead of telling me a little fairy tale. These lies usually involve night times when we are talking on the phone or aim and she says "i have to go to sleep, lets talk tomarrow" and its like 10pm, i would ask her the next day what time she slept and she would reply like 12am or 1am. Is this something i should be worrying about or just turn a blind eye.
Hkizzle Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Get off aim, shower, put on some mosturizer, blowdry her hair, read a book, watch a little tv..........2 hours.........
vertical Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 And maybe she has a hard time getting to sleep or something. Girls have a lot on their minds, pretty much all the time. It might keep her up. You didnt ask her what time she physically got into bed, right?
SoulSearch_CO Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I'd have to see more examples of her lies. Because I've used that one before, but I didn't necessarily consider it a lie. I mean, gees - I have to spell out what my bedtime routine is for you? Sometimes I just want to relax and unwind for awhile before actually going to sleep. It's not like, hang up the phone - BOOM, I'm asleep. If I get to talking with someone too much on the phone, my brain gets to working and thinking about this or that, or whatever. It can really get me wound up. Hence the reason I choose not to be on the phone too much before I go to bed for the day (work nights, sleep days). So what are some other "lies?" Because I don't think that one is a big deal.
TaraMaiden Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 My brother always said he went to bed a 10pm.....but didn't get home until 4 in the morning...... Just thinking 'out loud'......
confusedcookie Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 i like to say it's the personality of the person and not necessarily gender. My ex use to tell little lies, or he knew what i was asking about, but if i didn't ask it specifically, he wouldn't tell me... i'm all about honesty, and after a while, it got to me.. sometimes it wasn't lies, but information that he was withdrawing that he knew that i would have wanted to know or what not... in your case, about the bedtime thing, i think you're making a big deal out of a small thing, because it happens to me too. i say i'm going to sleep but after i get off the phone, i dawdle around, do sudoku, catch up on my internet gossip sites, and bham, it's 2 hours later... lol
