I put a red playboy bunny tattoo on my arm, and at the time I didn't realize that only girls got it. Now I'm regretting it since it is now a permanent part of me, so that when I go out I'm always sporting it. I'm always asked why I got it, and I did it on a whim mainly because an old girlfriend liked playboy bunny stuff -- purses, t-shirts. I had a playboy bunny air freshener and went into the tattoo parlor, said here you go, and that's why it's there.

I'm not a player, not into playboy mags or anything, or fake girls with platinum blonde hair.

Not gonna lie, I think it's weird, lame, "gay" (not meant in offensive way to gay folks).

Especially since you just got it because "what the hell" my ex loved this crap.

Would I date you? Maybe, but you'd be off to a negative start with my first impression (negative) being shoved in my face constantly and forever.

I don't think I'd let a tattoo keep me from dating a guy I otherwise found appealing.

But yeah, you should get it altered or covered or something because it isn't even a dumb enough tattoo to amuse me. And the story behind why you got it.....keep that to yourself. It will be a perm reminder of that particular ex in your life and that you let someone else's taste dictate permanent art on your body rather than sticking to your own style.

Or try getting it modified somehow into a badass parody of the same thing? Bet you can find something like that on the web.

Thx for the laugh. What a funny tat! I hope you have a great personality to cover up that tat because you will need it. Otherwise, maybe get it removed?

No, I would not.

Sorry, but this is hilarious. Get it removed, even if you have to carve a chunk of your flesh out with a knife to do it.

As long as you cared to explain me that you are not into playboy magazines, the tattoo would not be a problem.

Not in itself, at least.

But with such a tattoo some sense of humour is required.

I also agre with sally4sara that it would be better not to disclose why you had the bunny tattooed in the first place.

Posted

If you had them all over your body, I'd say no :p

It wouldn't bother me. Besides, like so many said, you can get it removed, covered, changed.

Get it modified dood.. that is pretty lame IMO. Whatever you do dont tell people why you got it. I dont know whats more lame, the tattoo or the story behind why you got the tattoo. For now if anyone asks say you got it because you lost a bet or you got it once when you were drunk.

I say go to a tattoo place and see if they can make it into something else or removie it.

Posted

LOL.....sorry...you need it lasered out!

Posted

I would say you would lose MAJOR points, but if I liked you enough I might give it a shot. But I'd be VERY wary of bringing you home to mom and dad!

Posted

OMG get that thing removed.

Comon guys... at least it's not pink :bunny::bunny:

Eh - I wouldn't exactly love it. But I have one or two tattoos that I absolutely hate and that don't represent me at all now. Bleh. Kids. LISTEN to your mother when she tells you that you'll regret it.

Whoaaa... I was expecting a tiny black outline of the bunny... ha-hem.. this is priiiitttttty big.. and pink...

Can't you have something tatooed over it.. like a big black square with something written in it.. like a quote or something..

I guess anything would be better than this..

Sorry..but tatooes are such big mistakes... oh well.. :o

You might be able to have it modified into a girl spreading her legs while on her back

If you want to keep a tattoo then go into a parlor and see if they can come up with a drawing that incorporates the bunny into it.. a lot of time they go darker and blending it into the new picture.

or laser it off...

To answer your question.. I am a guy but I wouldn't think that would stop me from getting dates if it were on my arm..

I can't think of a girl that wouldn't have dated me if I had a bunny on my arm..

of course nobody says that you need to advertise it either.. but when they do see it it can be used as a story to tell them..

It's true...it started out red, but faded to pinkish, although it looks way more pink in the picture than in real life.

It's not pink, it's red...the tattoo artist said I should go big as I could, fill the space. It does seem like the bunny takes up most of my arm and is the first thing anybody sees.

Yeah, but think of negative personality traits, quirks or other body features you might have that *I* would have to look at daily. The point being that we are who we are, and you could change in an instant (I could too) say in a horrible accident. Live as we are able to for the moment.

OK, If I restated my story without mentioning why I got it, other than I was drunk or lost a bet, would that change your opinion ? The tattoo is still the same, the strange looks I would get would still be there, but would your attitude be any different ?

When I was young I got drunk, lost a bet and stuck a cigarette into my chest. Still got a scar there. But you got a bunny on your arm.......no matter how you cut it, it foesn't look good dude.
