Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumper)?

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumpee)?

Ever had an ex turn into a complete monster afterwards?

Ever had them do something so unspeakably low?

Longest relationship?

Spill! ;)

I broke up with an alcoholic after 18 months of no intimacy and abject alcohol-induced cruelty.

Because I couldn't move out immediately, I ensconced myself in our back room while I packed and looked for an apartment (our bed was in our front, living room -- in front of the fireplace).

He THEN brought home women to have sex with while I was less than 20 feet away, able to hear everything.

Broke up with her because we could not agree on how to raise children (religion)

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumpee)?

My most recent. Thought she was so perfect for me but I was not ready for a relationship which messed things up majorly.

Ever had an ex turn into a complete monster afterwards? Nope

Ever had them do something so unspeakably low? Dissappear on me

Longest relationship? 3 1/2 years

Never had any. Luckily, breakups I initiate have been mutual, so far.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumpee)?

Ex told me I was a burden, the relationship was tying her down. Lied to me about why we broke up, and later I found out that the reason she was too busy to spend time with me because she was going out with another guy (incidently he wasn't being faithful to his gf) and this was going on for four months. Repeatedly lied to me, sneered at my expectation for an honest explanation for why we broke up, etc. Two years later she asks for forgiveness for the way she broke up with me. Kinda weird...

Ever had an ex turn into a complete monster afterwards?

She was kind of a jerk during the relationship. Not a horrible person, but I was certainly blind to her flaws. Weird that I was friends with her for several years before.

Ever had them do something so unspeakably low?

Um, cheating, lying, etc.

Longest relationship?

2 years and 3 months.

Wow, that's the worst thing I've ever heard on here.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumper)?

Got back into contact with my old high school girlfriend. She was ready for a serious relationship, I was just getting over another one. I told her upfront that I wasn't ready but she held out hope. Eventually, a year later I ended it for good. And although it was for the best, I now know how much she loved me and no matter what way I handled it she weas hurt tremendously.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumpee)?

Current Situation. Moved to another country to be with her and left a six figure job to teach englsih for $4 an hour. She went through my emails, listened to conversations and checked my phone..to no avail. Finally she saw emails to friends of mine that I was having a tough time over there and she told me that she had changed her mind about the plan to move back to america, and wanted me to live there forever. The snooping continued and eventually she kicked me out and threatened (and actually attempted) to ruin my career.....pretty tough situation to say the least.

Ever had an ex turn into a complete monster afterwards?

Complete monster: told me she was dating a new guy a week after i left, won't give me the ring, emailed my boss, told her mother I never liked her (complete nonsense), won't send me my stuff back.......

None.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumped)?

Girlfriend that left her country (Sweden) to live with me in a really small apartment for 6 years. She had a drug past, was abused as a kid, raped and drugged as her first sexual experience, and had family problems. She arrived with no money and on anti-depressives. I turned her life around, supported her both financially and emotionally. She proposed to me 7 times! One week after my proposal to her she cheated on me. I begged her to stay with me, it lasted 1.5 years. I went to her about starting a family and one month later she dumped me. NC ever since. Never heard from her again.

Timing was bad. My dad at the time was in intensive care and I was suffering from a weird disease that noone could find the answer to (turned out to be weird case of epilepsy, or so the doctors think).

Predecessor girl dumped me from one day to the next, moved to Spain and was pregnant 5 weeks later. She's now a single mum. Her dad was a murderer and she was a drug addict.

Ever had an ex turn into a complete monster afterwards?

Never. They have always left and never said anything again. Only once, where she sent back all the cards I gave her (but kept the jewelery), without a note.

Ever had them do something so unspeakably low?

Besides cheating, lying and playing mind games.

Dumped by a woman when I needed her most. Dad was dying and I had a weird disease. She ran off because she "did love me as a girlfriend should", i.e. was horny for someone else.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumper)?

Highschool sweetheart. I was 2 years older. She was going away to college. She had turned into an obsessive monster, so I broke up with her to see other people and move on with my life. Not only did I take her back, but exactly what I tried to avoid happened- she cheated, and I had to dump her again.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumpee)?

Current situation. No red flags, no warning sings (That me, or anyone else could see) just out of the blue "I don't think I love you anymore" for no reason. And all this the day after I finalize the deal on her engagement ring.

Ever had an ex turn into a complete monster afterwards?

High school sweetheart- she still sends me messages to this day.... UGH. (six years later!)

Ever had them do something so unspeakably low?

My current situation- I've never lied to this girl, and due to seperation anxiety, our dog's cardiomyopathy got out of control and he needed surgery- and she told me I was a liar about it.

Longest relationship?

4 years.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumper)?

only dumped one guy, usually I was the one on the receiving end, so the worst part was striking up the nerve to tell him we couldn't date anymore. Because I'd gotten back with an ex (a lie that ultimately turned out to be true, as I married the ex)

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumpee)?

pretty much the relationship the whole time with the guy who I Thought Was The One ... he was sleeping with his friend's wife, but sleeping with me (and other women). Like he'd continually say and do things to intentionally hurt me, I guess so I wouldn't get attached to him? Worst part was going cold turkey by going NC completely. At one point he sent a photo and a letter, which I trashed once I saw the return address, but my roommate at the time fished it out and asked if she could read it. From what she said, he wanted to stay friends, but I knew that was out of the question because I'd end up hurting even more.

Ever had an ex turn into a complete monster afterwards? Ever had them do something so unspeakably low?

nothing monstrous, but my first boyfriend (who was older than me) could be a real azz-munch about the relationship. I worked for him even after we stopped dating, and at one point, he bragged about how when he put me on the plane back to Texas, he picked up some redhead at LAX and banged her. What a pig. Fast forward several years, when I was out of college and working for him between jobs, he made the comment about how special it was knowing that he was my first, THEN asked if I'd lied about being a virgin?!! While we were dating he always bragged about his prowess in bed. Later, after broadening my horizons some, I realized that he sucked. So when he made the comment about him and my virginity, it just made me laugh.

Longest relationship?

the two-plus years I dated my husband long-distance. Before that, 4-10 months was about the average length of relationships for me.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumper)?

I left a guy who argued with me about everything. Once, after sex, he started to ask me mathematical questions, so he could "see how much I was worth."

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumpee)?

This current one...ripped my heart out.

Ever had an ex turn into a complete monster afterwards?

Yep, started a relationship in less than a week...actually, I didn't know we had broken up. Turned cold, distant, treated me like a stranger, never answered my questions. But I became a bigger monster.

Ever had them do something so unspeakably low?

I waited for him for a year. When I needed him, he just up and left me, gave me sarcastic statements, treated me like dirt.

Another ex (my boyfriend at the time) told me if I loved him, I would have sex with another woman and let him watch. I did not want to do that.

Longest relationship?

5 years, but it was more plutonic than romantic.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumper)?

I only dumped one girl and I was glad when i did. She was a venomous snake.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumpee)?

I would have to say without a doubt my late wife. She was a pill addict and when I first was with her she was a great person and wasn't on the stuff. The more we went out and after we were married she began to pop pills heavily and it eventually killed her two weeks after our daughter was born. Her liver and kidneys failed. it will be five years in November.

Ever had an ex turn into a complete monster afterwards?

My wife was a monster while on the pills when we were married. I never knew who i was going to get when i got home from work. The sweet and caring woman i fell in love with or the demonic short tempered and manipulative woman who just cared about her pills.

Ever had them do something so unspeakably low?

Again my wife did a lot of bad things to me and her family to fuel her addiction. She stole from me and her parents and she manipulated and lied to all of us constantly.

Longest relationship?

Again my wife 2 and half years all together.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumper)?

Broke up after 6 years because we grew apart but were both to comfortable/afraid to break up. Someone had to do it though. So I did.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumpee)?

4 Years of marriage. We never spent a single night away from one another. We did everything together. She was beautiful. We enjoyed so much together and got along so well. Due to financial reasons she also had to work about 3 years into the marriage. After a few months of working she became less interested in our various activties we enjoyed doing. It was a real slow process. But we still were incredibly close, happy, and affectionate. Until one day she said she no longer loved me and left 3 days later. I was in shock. Totally heart broken. I couldnt sleep or eat. She never once tried to call or get in touch in any way. I ended up having to move out of state due to financial reasons and still have never heard from her. Well, if you call being served divorce papers hearing from someone they yah. It has been 8 months and I am still totally and completley heart broken.

Ever had an ex turn into a complete monster afterwards?

A monster no? But never hearing from someone whom you spent as much time as possible with for 4 years is pretty monstrous.

Ever had them do something so unspeakably low?

Read above.

6ish years.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumper)? - Cutting a very beautiful woman loose after I discovered that she flew halfway around the world to cheat on me.

Worst/hardest breakup ever (you as the dumpee)? - Hard to say. Probably the one that simply vanished off the radar completely, no explanation, no "I'm leaving," no nothing. She just stopped returning my calls. I have no idea why.

Ever had an ex turn into a complete monster afterwards? - Nope

Ever had them do something so unspeakably low? - Yep. When I was very young (20, I think) a woman I split with got into my apartment when I wasn't there and trashed the place.

Longest relationship? - 7 years

The worst post breakup was my first serious boyfriend who after we broke up became homeless and I would see him panhandling by the highway. I felt nothing though because he treated me really badly when we were together and the reason he was homeless is because he became an addict.
