I think motorbikes and dogs are important things to mention.

Doesn't necessarily need a picture, but even that tells you that bikes and pets are a big part of their life.

Kind of helpful information when you're looking for a partner, no?

Yes, I would agree with that. Just like I mention my art obsession. But I don't have photographs of my art collection on my profile.

It just surprised me because I probably looked at 20 or 30 profiles today and more than 3/4s of them included motorcycle or car photos.

If I see another profile of the guy holding up a big fish I'm gonna hurl.

I completely avoid those ones.

I dig motorcycles, but only if it's a side hobby and not their life.

Then there are those who have a picture of themselves with another woman, with her head cut out of the picture. Real smooth guys.

Maybe he wants a chick who rides also. Do those exist? Anyway, I'd imagine it's a good ice breaker.

Honestly, it weeds people like you out. What a stupid flipping reason to make a thread.

Why do you put up pictures of your motorcycle in your profile?

I don't get it.. what's your point?

WHY??????

Guys like their toys, I guess...I agree with you though., it's silly.

Why do women go to Glamour Shots? or Have pictures with their pets? Or have pictures showing their cleavage off while laying down on a bed?

Isn't it like a woman posting pictures of her skiing. hiking or scuba diving ?

It is something that they have or do enjoy doing that they want to show the women..

Trying to impress a woman or man is what can turn the head and make a person lock on a profile.

In my opinion if a guy shows his bike he is showing her that he likes to ride.. that will normally be on the weekends.. so the girl better either have her own bike or be prepared to ride on the back..

In my profile that I used when I was single I showed pictures of me doing things that I loved.. like being up at the log cabin with a nice campfire going.. that kind of stuff...

Lizzie why do you always put up vulgar pictures of much younger women as your avatar?

Huh???? I think a woman's body is a beautiful sight.. I'm not a lesbien.. but I do enjoy nice bodies.. females OR males.

I find that men don't even 'read' the women,s profile.. they just look at the picture and send a message.... most of the time.. if they WOULD read the profile they wouldn't send the message.. especially when the women tell them that a pic of their VTT or sport car or motorcycle is a 'deal breaker' and a huge turn-off... unless they're completely dumb... :o

OMG. TRUE DAT. That is SO annoying. I put very specific things on my profile as far as age, lifestyles, etc...they don't care. They email me anyway. Save your time, fellas - read the freaking profile.

LOL!! How do they NOT know that's not okay? I don't get that one, either.

I can't stop laughing while reading through this because it is all so true :lmao: I have seen all the motorcycle pics, I saw one where the guy had 5 pictures of his motorcycle!

And what is up with the ex's head's cut off? they can't find a decent picture of themselves without their ex? Some of them don't even cut out the ex, they have pictures of them and their ex hugging affectiontley. What is the point in that one?

I agree with Bob, this is a pretty childish complaint to start a thread about. Amusing to read though....:bunny:

Now I DO have a photo of my motorbike on my profile but its not just a motorbike...it has a clear full body shot of me sitting on it. Funnily enough I posted that (and a few other photos) on LS for some advice and most people (guys and gals) replied stating that it was a good photo and to keep it in as it showed that I was fun and like to partake in various activities. In addition there were a few recommendations to ADD in a photo of me playing with the dog as again it reveals a different aspect of me.

Now it seems that you are talking about profiles that have a photo of just a motorbike or just a car with no person in it. Now that is a little bit different but is it really that big a deal??! It just shows what the guy's hobbies and interests are (a picture says a thousand words after all). Seriously get a grip! It seems like many ladies will find SOMETHING to complain about no matter how trivial or inconsequential. You've probably turned down some GREAT guys just because they happened to post a photo of their bike. And then funnily enough you'll have a whinge that there are no good guys out there! Having said that those guys were probably lucky not to get a response from someone so nit picky.....

How about being less trivial and superficial and giving a guy more of chance and not base your decision solely on wether he has posted a photo of a bike/car/boat? Just a thought....

Hahaha.. funny that the people who said this thread was childish .. ARE guys who post pictures of their bikes..

Could be shallow.. maybe... but I am superficial.. what can I say.. :D the first impression we get on an Internet profile is the 'wording' of the profile (please don't make too many grammar mistakes, another turn-off) and the pictures... what can I say.. if the guys don't have much imagination... they lose.. not me.. ;)

For me.. these pics do not show their interests... it cries 'MACHO'...

The lose the chance to get to know somebody like you? Hmmm, seems more of a gain than a loss to me!

I did agree to meet a guy that had several pictures of his motorcycle on his profile, he even parked right out front of where we met and told me he did that to impress me? Anywhoo, the guy turned out to be a real weirdo texting and calling me from 2 am to 6 am wanting to come over and wanted me to make him breakfast?

My point is that I have not turned anyone away just from their profile pics, eventhough it may not be completely my taste I am not one to judge because he may like posting those pics, but I did judge him for being a wacko!

Posted

Awww, these are the reasons why I simply adore men !! The don't over think, and over analyize their pics and the " deep seated" reasons behind posting them.

They love their dog, they love their bike, and they AREN"T the types to take 100 pics of themselves to pick the top three to put on their profile ( THAT would be my teenage daughter ).

God love the lads. If it bugs you, don't answer them.
