This is kind of a far out idea, but you might consider applying to plastic surgery makeover shows because if they picked you, you could get your procedures done for free. Another idea is to set up a website with your pictures and story that people where people could help fund your procedure. I remember a girl who wanted breast implants set up a site like that a few years ago, and actually made enough money through it to finance her surgery. Your story is obviously much more compelling, so it might be worth a shot.

I'd say you're quite good at photoshop.

I'm agreeing with Athena's advice so far. But do you have any pictures of you smiling with TEETH? The pictures you posted look so SAD and I would not be interested in somebody that looked so depressed. I admit, there is SOMETHING, but I can't put my finger on it (other than the hair - definitely grow the hair out).

I do not like the hair of the guy in the thread she posted, though. Too much hair. It looks like a mop. When you say "a bob," could you give a picture example of what you're thinking of? Because you really want to get something that accentuates your face. The current cut you have - the short bangs make your forehead look high.

It's the large forehead, small lower face thing. This isn't hard, people.

I agree about the hair. I'd actually cut it shorter because it looks too greasy and fine as is. That in conjunction with the dirty sanchez gives him a slightly creepy look.

I agree with you. It's interesting though, that he doesn't see that.

dude, if you are super lean and young, a positive confident attitude can make up for whatever physical imperfections you have. You may have heard this a lot but it is not joke, it is all in your mind. I have seen some hideous dudes getting all kinds of girls because of the person they are and the supreme confidence that they project.

Seriously, have you ever seen pictures of dave navarro and anthony kedis? Tom Dwan? If they weren't rockstars they wouldn't get the time of day from girls.

Just put getting a girl out of your head and worry about being somebody and the rest will all fall into place.

I don't see it because of subjective measure.

But now that I look at it ... yeah. It does make sense.

I am in Romania currently. Moving to Netherlands.

The procedure sounds complicated ... don't have enough cash for that. Dont know if I'll earn enough in 4 years. In 4 years I'll be 29. Then I would get the degree and the real job stars ... if im lucky. The most beautifull period for love and/or magic is up untill 30. So I guess I was inspired with my monastical plans ...

Anyway, I'll give it a for 4 years. Technically, I could buy a wife. However, that would only add insult to injury. And to have a wife at 40 ... when all the magic was gone ... heck, i'd better search for buddhist enlightment.

I'd say you're excellent at photoshop, considering you've won several contests! Not everyone has that skill.

Well, I guess I better start planning my tragic death in 7 months. Because I'm single, now, with absolutely zero prospects. 7 months to 30...better start the death clock.

Oh, c'mon. That's such a load of crap. My mom obviously has been married and had children before, but all her marriages ending in divorce. She's SIXTY and considering joining eHarmony. Optimism and confidence can do a lot for a person. I have no doubt in my mind that she can find somebody - but that's because she's positive that she's a bombshell!

Agree with you, except...

Anthony Kiedis isn't a bad looking guy! And Dave Navarro probably wouldn't be so bad looking as a regular guy if he didn't wear makeup. :p

If he is indeed a troll, then he is wasting the time of a few people over an anonymous forum. Big deal.

If he isn't a troll, but is accused of it and is refused help, then that could be pretty hurtful for a guy trying to get help. This could be his last resort to reach out before he has a nervous breakdown.

I would rather risk wasting a bit of my time than risk causing emotional hurt to a guy who is genuinely looking for help.

Yes, definitely lose the facial fuzz. And the things Shadowplay said make A LOT of sense now seeing a close-up, straight-on pic like that. But I still think SOME of Athena's tips would help for the time being. Do you EVER smile? :(

I think it would. But then, I'm a smile person. I'm thinking of the least-attractive person I've ever seen...and with a smile, MUCH more approachable. With a glare...OMG. Scary. haha I just dipped into the shallow end, but I hope you see my point. I know that different cultures can have a lot to do with it, but I know that in America, facial expression has actually a lot of pull. I really wasn't paying that much attention when this guy made a face at me like he was angry and I made a face back like I was concerned. He laughed at me and he said, "You people. You put so much stock in facial expression. I think it's funny." I didn't think about it until he said it - he was African American. I had no idea there was THAT difference between Caucasians and AA. He seemed to imply there was. So I may be bringing up an issue that's completely irrelevant in your culture. It just interested me, is all - whether you had any smile pics. :)

LordMalkor,

I'm not going to sugar coat anything. It's true that you're not a guy who women would find attractive. While some of that is simply in the structure of your face that can only be changed by plastic surgery, you can do some things on your own to improve your appearance. Definitely shave, for one. Grow your hair out a bit and keep it neat. Some facial creams could also make your skin look cleaner and softer. I know you said that your last picture was taken in extreme heat, but the sweat and oil isn't helping.

Essentially what I'm saying is, even if your face is structurally unattractive, you can still improve it by keeping excellent hygiene.

Now, off of the topic of looks. It sounds like you have some good things going for you. You're intelligent and have ambitions for one (and genetics is an awesome field to go into, if I do say so myself ;) ). Secondly, even though you appear to be depressed and deeply troubled by past events, you still seem to have a bit of humor to some of your posts, as though you're seeing at least a bit of light in bad situations. That's a VERY good quality to have. I think you can improve your attitude tenfold, though, if you perhaps confront some of your past issues and find a way to move past them. Believe me, it sucks to be abused. Fortunately my parents never touched me but I was beaten up and harassed throughout school because of my weight. Man, I look at pictures of myself back then and I was a fat ugly son of a bitch. I lost that weight, though, and became very fit and muscular. No one messed with me after that. ;)

You mentioned the thyroid problem which inhibits your body's ability to add muscle. Not gonna lie, that is an obstacle. Are you able to do anything physical? Because, if the only problem is that you can't gain muscle...well, why not take up a physical activity where you don't need much muscle, like distance running? A lot of guys I know who are cross country runners were always skinny and could never seem to gain muscle, so they used it to their advantage. Think about it. Any kind of physical activity is an excellent way to gain confidence and relieve stress.
