Trialbyfire Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Colored contacts are fun in theory, but unfortunately I've never seen regular light-colored ones that appear natural, especially up close. You can go from blue to brown pretty convincingly, but it doesn't seem possible to do the reverse. The only convincing ones I've seen are custom painted and cost upwards of 150 dollars a pair. It's really hard to capture the depth of real irises.I think people need to test different colours. I tried on different manufacturers, etc, until I found the optimal ones for me. They look natural enough that people who aren't friends or acquaintances, have complimented me on my "big blues", etc. Since I don't need contacts to see, it's a hassle to wear them. It's still fun to wear them sometimes. S. prefers my blue ones over the other contact colours, although he likes my brown eyes too.

I've been entertaining the idea of "changing" my blue eyes to green for awhile.I prefer the Acuvue 2, also for comfort sake. They're weekly disposables, although I only wear them once, twice at the most, since I'm paranoid about infection.

They are too think, and you can clearly see them popping out at you, which is alarming to say the least.
Touche Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I use those same ones that TBF uses. My eyes are green and I have the green contacts. They look very natural on me. They just lighten my green eyes a couple of shades. I only wear them once in a while though..like when I get dressed up or for a special occasion. I've never tried any other colors although in the 1980's I used to wear aqua colored ones. Now those I admit, didn't look natural. I sure did get a lot of comments on them though.

But I did like the green, I will admit though, it didn't look natural. And I just can't picture myself with blue eyes. I'm happy with my dark browns
in_absentia Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I reckon I'm about a 7 or 8. I'm tall and slim, look fairly pretty when I've made an effort but I'm not a natural beauty without the makeup lol. Also I'm not really a heels and skirt kinda girl, I'm more a baggy jeans and converse proghead kinda girl, which most guys aren't into.

You never know when people like you for you or if they like you only based on how you look. It's hard for me to be friends with women and it's hard for me to be friends with men. Alot of my friends are other models because it's just easier. I don't notice when people look at me anymore because it makes me uncomfortable...I just walk around with blinders on and only focus my attention straight ahead. Of course, as a model, I get used to that as it is a necessary part of that job, but I don't appreciate being gawked at out on the street in my daily life. It's awkward when it happens more than a few times. Although there are times when you get funny lines from men and you just can't help but laugh. One random guy at Starbucks last week told me that I had 'an onion butt.' When I reluctantly asked what that meant (he had me intrigued), he said an onion butt is an ass so perfect that it brings tears to a mans eyes. I sort of smiled and left QUICKLY! By the way, I truly hope this didn't sound conceited...I am just being honest with how I feel about things. Part of me always worries that my confidence comes across as being sh**ty. That is not my intent. lol I totally get that, it does make sense. I think a lot of men forget that women are just people. I think good looking people make the rest of us normal ones feel insecure at times.

My favorite combo is dark hair and green eyes but my complexion is too light to pull that off. My natural hair color is dark blonde/light brown, so I have highlights done as otherwise it looks too mousy.

For example: in my area, there are a LOT of naturally blond people (in proportion to other areas of the country). Probably has to do with there being heavy German, Swedish and Norwegian ancestry here. I don't find the blond hair/blue eyes combo particularly attractive in a girl. Maybe it has to do with the fact that both of my sisters are as such (and I am too...), and it would seem too close to home. I know lots of guys that think that combo is the best thing ever. Dark hair, brown eyes and a lighter complexion is definitely my cup of tea though. I dated a girl who fit this description; she had a European mother and Mexican father. In my opinion, she is probably the prettiest person I've ever known. Again...some girl might rate me a 9, and another could rate me a 1. It all depends!

It's unavoidable unless you're grossly disfigured LOL girls are so funny I am a guy and i have never thought any less of a girl because she has brown eyes instead blue or green eyes. If they are extra blue eyes i might think to my self she has nice eyes but that will definitely not be the reason i approach the girl. I have a 19yo sister and i laugh everytime she has friends over before they are about to go out. They worry so much about their hair, nails, shoes minor stuff like that. I could care less how girls nails or shoes look like... As long as they are not dirty i am fine. If i had to judge the girl based on looks i would have to say the body and shape of the face matter the most. The way your eyes look is almost pointless. Now to answer the OP's post i would have to say that i am somewhere between 6-8.5... depending on my skin and what i am wearing.
