Can you guys help me get rid of my stretchmarks? Got them from my last pregnancy. Gave birth a couple of months ago. Is applying cocoa butter on the marks effective?

Apparently cocoa butter will help them fade, but it won't actually get rid of them. It's scar tissue and the only way to remove scar tissue is through surgery (tummy tuck or similar).

Too late, Radio. You should use the cocoa butter during pregnancy. It will help fade like Thad says but they won't disappear.

I agree with the others. I have 4 children and the stretch marks fade but don't go away. They are our battle scars LOL

Well, they can’t just be removed. It’ll take time before they lighten up in color. But you can ask your dermatologist on how to help speed up the process through the use of products like renova or yes, cocoa butter. These are available in any local or online pharmacy out there. Your dermatologist will discuss this further with you. Hope this helps!

It seems they've became stretch scars. The only way to remove them is through laser surgery.

Less costly ways of making them less noticeable are a combination of good nutrition ( specifically vitamins K and E), exfoliation, and cocoa butter. Results are not typical and it will generally take time to see any sort of result.

There is no way to get rid of them other than surgery. They do fade over time, and getting a nice tan makes them less noticeable.

And be wary of any creams that claim to make stretchmarks disappear.

Exactly. I have wasted so much money on this. Cocoa butter seems to help a bit, plus it's cheaper.

I think cocoa butter makes them fade away. Try tanning - like actually tanning, not fake tanning. It worked for me. They're not gone, but they're also barely noticeable unless you like really stare at that one spot. Haha
