lolista Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 so they broke up a year ago after a 3 month relationship. My bestfriend often told me how inloved they had been, and that they loved each other so much, but they couldn't be together because of their parents. They left each other, and stayed as friends though she always said he would be the lover of her life...8 months later after I had met him once, she did something and we started texting, and a month later decided to go out on a date, and then decided that we would wait and make it official. It's been hard because when I'm with him everything seems to work out so well, but when I'm by myself I just think about the great times my best friend and he used to have when they dated and it kills me. He tells me that I shouldn't be worrying about her or about what they had because now it's me and him, but it is still hard, what should i do??
tigressA Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 From what your friend has said--that her ex is "the love of her life"--it sounds like she wouldn't be comfortable with you or any of her other friends dating him, even if they broke up a year ago and have managed to remain friends. Have you talked to her about it? Does she still say those things?
