Is this guy interested in me! Need some advice! I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Excuse me for the long post, I'm trying to be specific.

 

Well, I am 24-year-old single woman and I have developed a crush for this older man at work. (I know it's a big age difference) I don't know if this guy is attached or not.

 

This is my first year working as a teacher at a new job at a private school, but the older guy in his 40's seemed to been working there for a while. He teachers computers at the school while I'm teaching a general 5th grade class. When I first came, I didn't take any notice of the guy. The guy seemed to have a short attitude with me.

 

At a certain time of the week my class goes to computer class and I would have to take them to the computer room. During the first couple of weeks, he would come to my classroom and seemed to have an annoyed facial expression when I was running late for Computer class. He would state the time that my class had to be at the computer room at that time during the week. Around this time the interest in him wasn't really apparent. I thought he seemed a bit bitter, harsh, and had a serious attitude.

 

My class has a number of challenging issues with behavior. During the first couple of weeks, I had some rough times keeping them in order. One time when I was on a free period during the time that my class had Computers and I was going to pick up my class to come back to the classroom. My class surprisingly returned back to Computer with the teacher. He started to lecture them on having "good behavior" by saying that it is "not the teacher, and that is the behavior of the class." When he was leaving and I acknowledge him by thanking him, he pat me on the shoulder multiple times. Somehow during that time, sparks flew and I felt a different way about this guy and he started to be more attractive to me. Since then I developed a crush on him.

 

Another interesting situation happened. I wrote a letter to the principal stating that I had lost my wallet and that I had to leave early to retrieve the documents that I lost in my wallet during business hours when school was in session. The principal approved and decided to come to my class to take over because it was short notice. The next day another teacher came up to me and told me that the computer teacher told her that I lost my wallet and expressed sorry. It was just so odd because I never told the computer teacher that I have lost my wallet, I only told the principal. It is a very small school – so I can understand if the principal if she must of told somebody something. But it is just so odd that the other teacher would find out that I lost my wallet from this particular computer teacher when I never told him in the first place.

 

In order to kind of test his interest with body language; during the last staff meeting he sat diagonally across for me. He sat with his hand clasped (in a praying manner but hands pointed down) and he seemed to been rubbing them together and he didn’t sit back in the chair, he was leaning forward when he did this. Also one of his feet was pointing exactly to my direction. When I was facing down to write some notes and blinked my eyes, because I’m shy and I didn’t want to freak him out or anything by staring at him even though I like him. During the time my eyes blinked, I notice that he blinked them as well and he changed his position in the chair. Sometimes I get a little nervous around people and I get a little shock attack, and I notice that when I had this shock attack he had one too.

 

In one incident that happened lately when I came to pick my class up from Computers, he said to come in the class because he had to show me something in relation to what they were doing in Computers. So I stood VERY close to him to (I kind of did that on purpose:)) to hear what he was saying. He talked in a high tone with the kids and when he had to speak to me his voice became low. Whenever he speaks to me, I notice that he moves his eyes very fast and moves it up and down. But when I tried to stare at him while he was talking, by consciously dilating my pupils and raising my eyebrows to check if he is interested. He still kept on moving his eyes fast and seem to didn’t acknowledge when I dilated my pupils.

 

However, when he tried to show me something else, he promised me that he would get a computer to have in my classroom from the lab and I told him thank you for it and had a big smile, he responded by smiling back and poked or tapped at the top to side of my chest near my shoulder. Anytime he talks to me, he only speaks to me about work and he doesn’t ask me more about myself. These are mixed signals that he is giving me and I’m not sure if he quite interested in me or not. I am having trouble reading him.

 

Should I waste my time with him, I really don't know anything about him either - if he is married or not. Please tell me what you think about this situation or any advice to handle this situation, I'm just curious. I would appreciate your help so much. Thanks in advance.

I would say there is no way anyone could tell you if this guy is interested in you or not. You gave no information. You have none. You don't know if he's married, you don't know if he has a girlfriend, you have no background on him at all. You need to aquire these before you can consider anything. The only thing you could tell us is that he blinks alot,............ maybe he has a eyelash in his eye.

 

Anyway, sense Its hard to judge anything based on the information you have provided I will give you my opinion based on general facts.

 

1) If you are a hot girl (attractive and such) and he is a guy ( straight and stuff) Im sure he is interested.
