I don't know if it just a bloke thing but i'm currently going through the feeling of missing the physical side of the relationship with the ex. She wasnt interested in sex for the last 4 months of the relationship as he was distancing herself, but i'm starting to miss the times we had physical contact. The sex and hugs in bed and stuff. i'm starting to get the urge to want go out and find someone for a one night stand or just short term. Is this just part of the rebound process?

Yep, it's pretty normal. It can also be a bit dangerous, because when you start missing the physical component of your old relationship, there's a temptation to get in touch with the ex to re-live some of the old memories you had. I'm not suggesting that you're interested in contacting her again, I'm just saying that it's a common pattern.

If you do go out looking for a ONS, by all means good luck. But please don't delude the other party into thinking that there might be a deeper relationship to follow. (Not saying you would do that, it's just a general observation.) Just make sure that she's on the same page as well. If something more happens, great. But if not, that's cool too.

Good luck!

yeah, if it was a ONS i wouldn't trick someone into thinking that it is more than that. Anyway, to get a close to a ONS i would have to get out there first and see whats about. its working out if i am missing the physical side of the ex or just missing being physical with someone.

Yea, I get it. That's what I mean, the second-guessing. "Am I missing sex or am I missing her?" Those sorts of questions can lead one back down the path of contacting the ex again. Probably not a good idea.

I went out and had a one night stand just over a week after the break up - it was far too soon and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is still in that initial low phase.

The worst part was waking up and realising that it wasn't her, but this random stranger. I felt terrible and if she hadn't been halfway across the world on holiday at the time, I probably would've tried to contact her.

We have been split up nearly 2 months(plus 3 weeks break) and just dawned on me that it is probably way back in mid january we last has sex and even then it was getting less and less. How did i let it last like that until may when she split up. I guess i was hoping it would return how it was. how that time has flown by. The thought of no sex in the near future feels depressing. i just want to get over her now and be able to move onto someone.
