So about 6 months back my relationship with my ex ended, I was the unfaithful one, we tried to make it work for a while but it just did not work out. I agreed to let her go and live her life (please, I've been through all the motions and emotions about what i've done, learnt the lesson the hard way and think i've really moved on from this, so no flaming!!!)... Anyway, I found out she was seeing someone but never mentioned it too her while we were sort of still in contact (she kept contacting me, MSN, looking on my facebook, text messages), I decided we really both need no contact at all as I just wanted her to move on and be happy so I could do the same... But about a month ago after about 3 months of no contact she sent me the most random text message asking me something she knew I knew the answer too, but could of easily asked someone else too. I did'nt respond as I did not want to get into any form of communication with her as I know she loved me deeply, but I just don't want the slightest chance of any of her feelings for me (if she has any!) to ruin anything of her future (I don't mean that to sound big headed in anyway or form)... I guess I've moved on as I've started seeing other people and have had plenty of time to think about what I want in a next relationship and I don't want to be repeated again... Was not responding to her text the right move ?

Yes. Your intentions is to help her move on. I remember my ex did this once to me. Well, not exactly like ignored me, just discovered he moved to another place, but the same city. He changed his landline and celfone. I totally had no contact with him but I heared bits and piece of info from mutual friends, how he was and who he was invovled with. I feel as though he's totally betrayed me, but looking back, I've come to realize that we just both went into different directions and it was better off that we stayed as friends. Right now, I couldn't even remember what he looked like. I remember what he looked like then. Now he was just a memory that one can put down from experience and know what one wants on the next chapter of one's life.
