littlewhiterose Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I was catching up with a girl friend of mine who lives in Europe. We catch up every few weeks or so... She had informed me of a secret admirer that is interested in me. As the convo went on, somehow, we got to talking about the guy I like (a totally different guy- & the same guy from some of my other threads) and in passing I mentioned to her that I'd love to visit the general area that my crush is in if i had the extra time for vacation. A few days later, and my crush started tossing around the word "love" in conversation. As in "Nice, love", "Thanks, love" etc. Anyway, the reason I'm curious, is he's never called me this before. Do you think my girlfriend may have said something to my crush? I guess I could chalk this up as purely coincidental. I mean stranger things have happened. Do you think my crush is doing this because he knows something? and he's testing my level of interest? Or again is this coincidence?
Thaddeus Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Oh, I wouldn't read too much into it. My paternal grandmother (now long since deceased) used to use the term all the time to virtually everyone she met, and to this day it occasionally pops into my lexicon as well. Doesn't mean anything, really, it's just a figure of speech that gets used from time to time.
New Again Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I wouldn't read so much into - I think he's probably just trying out using that term in general - I know a lot of guys who throw that term around and use it in general on any and every girl. It's just a figure of speech when used in that way.
boogieboy Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Dont get your hopes up until you actually see some action in person that lets you know for sure that your crush is into you. Dont listen to words, actions only. Dont build your expectations up for possible dissapointment.
Author littlewhiterose Posted July 18, 2009 Author Posted July 18, 2009 Wow, that doesn't sound so great!
