Oh my GAWD! I am the DUMBEST thing to hit the streets since....well I don't know. I was chopping up jalapeno peppers and STUPID NINNY that I am, bebops along and WIPES my face with my hands. My face is on *F-I-R-E*. HELP!!! Everywhere I touched (under the eyes, upper lip) is burning and feels horrible.

OUCH! Poor thing - rinse, rinse, rinse and rinse some more with cold water. NO hot water or warm water - that will open the pours even more.

Milk. Wipe your face/hands with milk. There's something in it that will counteract much of the burning.

I think milk is somewhat alkaline, so it acts as an antacid. Theoretically, any liquid antacid should help but I've never tried that.

This is probably too late, but use a base to neutralize the acid. Milk is preferable to water since the chemical agents in hot peppers that cause the burning are not water soluble!
