v g Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 When a man feels anxious about a woman and is constantly checking his phone, email, MS/FB, is that love? In a recent thread, 'Why do I feel this way?????????' this subject matter was discussed. I was just asking two male friends today whether they ever experienced this and what they thought it meant. I was floored when they both agreed that it meant they were in love with the woman. What have you experienced? How do you know you're in love?
saira Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 my story is short - I messed up BAD because 3 weeks into meeting the guy he said that he loved me. We not happening anymore because I retaliated thinking OMG thats rush and I didnt think alot on the subject apart from 'no no its not love' Now that I am here and still very single I constantly think about this man. Its going to two weeks now and sometimes I feel like I 'miss' him.. I think we cant really know what it is. You may call it love. I may call it infatuation. donno its a catch 22
Author v g Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 Whatever you attribute this to, no one else has experienced this?
IcemanJB Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Whatever you attribute this to, no one else has experienced this? Of course I have. But I realized that even though I really really really liked her, constantly checking my phone, FB, etc. was pretty much just insecurity. This is actually the thing I've been working on the last several months. Letting go of the things you can't control. i.e. when/if she calls or texts or whatever.
paddington bear Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 I dunno. I have a male friend who was all nervous and excited, checking his phone every few minutes for text messages from a girl he liked, counting how many smiley faces she'd included...but he just wanted sex not a relationship with her.
