I'm 19 and my best girlfriend is 15. We talk to eachother everyday and we make eachother happy. We've talked about a relationship before but unfortunatly we can never see eachother cause her parents think i'm to old being in college and all. Both me and her think its ok and the age difference really isn't that much and we don't get why 4 years is such a big deal! Are her parents right that we shouldn't hang out? or are we right that its no big deal?

I don't think its a huge deal I Imagen shes in high school no? prob a freshman id think I do think you should keep in contact but hold off on anything physical until shes older just to respect her parents wishes and so you don't end up in prison be careful never know what pissed off parents can do..

Of course you are too old for her. It is illegal. Find someone that isn't a child.

Yes she's a little too young for you.. at your age.. 4 years is quite a lot..

Respect her parents' wish.. be patient .. in 3 years it will be OK.. her parents will love you then. ;)

I don't see the big deal. I dated a 20 year old when I was 16 and it was never an issue to anyone. Four years isn't that much, jee. It's the same generation.

It's a problem when he might go to jail for it. Because somehow, vows of viriginity don't seem to work out so well in real life ;)

Yeah, that part. Being tagged as a "sex offender" for the rest of racerkid's life probably isn't worth shagging the kid.

Well I think your situation is a little different than my bad memories with this age difference. You two obviously like each other, so I don't think there is any problem with it. Like other people said, I'd hold off on the physical part for a little while considering it is illegal. I don't know all the facts, but I assume she is a little more mature for her age? (in all aspects, not just physically)

Anyway, just make sure she really does feel the same way about you. When I was 14 I was too immature and didn't even really think about dating then. Some 18 year old girl (who, now that I think about it was quite attractive actually) was harrassing me to a stalkerish degree. This was at a day-camp and she would follow me around, constantly calling for me everywhere I went. I eventually had to leave the camp early because I couldn't take it anymore...just don't let that happen to her :p

A four year age gap isn't big deal for older couples if they're both adults, the problem here is that your gf is underage while you are considered an adult. Her parents are obviously worried you'll lead her astray with underage sex and drinking.

What's the age of consent for sex where you live? In most places it's 16, so she needs to be over that age before you even consider dating. However I don't see why you can't hang out and be friends. Once she reaches the age of consent (16?) I don't see why you couldn't date in a very light sense of the word, as long as there's no sex or alcohol, you only take her to age-appropriate places and have her back at a suitable time. The key here is convincing her parents that you're a decent guy who respects their daughter and respects their wishes and authority.

Once she reaches the age of 18 then you can date properly if you're still interested in each other. I'm not saying you shouldn't be friends or hang out for the next 3 years, but until that time you need to respect the boundaries her parents set.
