Author Pyro Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 Not sure either. But the pre-sliced should work GREAT in that. Just buy some fresh whole ones for garnish. Don't forget some dollops of whipped cream on top for a finishing touch. Which, of course, will leave you with some leftover whipped cream.... I'll need the whole ones for the chocolate covering and I never intended to use whipped cream on that pie.
BenThereDunThat Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I'll need the whole ones for the chocolate covering and I never intended to use whipped cream on that pie. Damn dude, you're ahead of me. Chocolate covered strawberries for garnish is an awesome idea. Rock on, man. (I have no idea why I'm all of a sudden talking like a 20-year-old guy.)

Bayern Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 It's always nice to cook for the ladies, but if this goes well try to impress them with fancy cooking the next time. Lucky me, my mother is Indian and a Ph.D in food sciences
whichwayisup Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Its only neat if it turns out ok. No, fact is, she is going to appreciate the effort of you making that pie, no matter what it tastes like.

Author Pyro Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 Things were a success. She loved the dinner and best of all the pie was phenominal. We talked over wine afterwards and then popped in a movie.
Citizen Erased Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Well of course it was a success, there was really no other option. And after the movie...
Author Pyro Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 Well of course it was a success, there was really no other option. And after the movie... I sent her on her way. Taking things slow. She is a bit shy and we're still getting to know each other. Just a kiss on the cheek but she just texted me saying it was fun and thanked me again for dinner.

I forgot to mention but one of the best things about her is that she is a history fan as well. We watched New World, with Christian Bale. Its the story of Pocohontas. It was alright. She picked it out.

CE doesn't like me anyways. She likes Jared. I might, but its too soon to really tell. Still getting to know her. The physical attraction is definitely there. I think so. She is friends with the neighbor, so more then likely.
